Is there a way to get the wet look without your hair being cruchny/hard?

I have shoulder-length, layered hair. I want to do the wet look and have my hair flip out a little at the ends (straight or semi-straight hair). But I don't like the crunchyness of mousse and all that stuff... is there some kind of soft gel or something that would make my hair look wet and also be light and soft?

i know exactly what works. :)

probably doesn't sound like it, but i once bought a bucket thing of gel from walmart, never checked the hold on the bottom (it said 9, i usually buy 10)

and i noticed when using it it would never make my hair hard like the 10 hold did!

it always looked wet, but never got hard. you should try it. :)

because i noticed other things dont work.. like hairspray doesnt give the wet look %26amp; only makes it crunchy.. mousse doesnt really do anything but hold the style a bit and make it softer.. etc. good luck!

if you don't like that product then use a straightener and flip out the ends.

Spray Mists, they work great. They are light.

I don't know of anything other than some sort of hair oil. When I use the stuff that makes my hair crunchy/hard, I let it dry thoroughly and then run my fingers through it. That takes away the crunch and yet my hair has the seperation that I'm looking for.

Now everyone knows scrunching your hair leaves it flakey and stiff because of the jell or mouse or even worse it falls out after only half a day. However there is a product out there ladies you can use to leave your hair with the scrunch or curly look but not with that unwanted flakey, hard hair. It is called Softee(proteen gel). You can get it at Family Dollar or Wal-mart. Its just a couple of bucks for a large amount. While your hair is wet apply a fair amount of Softee to your hair from root to ends. Brush it trough with your fingers. The from end to root scrunch you hair over and over and over. . But for fun if you want you can blow dry your hair upside down while scrunching it at the same time. You end result will be beautiful wavy, curly, scruchy hair that is soft not hard and not freezy. Try it out sometime I think you will like it. And good Luck.
