i naturally have very thick, wavy, frizzy hair. my hair isnt incredibly thin, but significantly thinner than it used to be.. i think its thin because i straightened with shitty straighters just about every day for school freshman and sophmore year. i recently bought a chi straighter, and learned to put moisturing things in my hair while straightening, i never used to do that. however i dont want to use like any thing in my hair for the next couple months, i want it to grow back fuller and kinda revilatlize it, so i cut it shoulder length, and daily i put a bit of mousse and gel at the top of my hair to tame the frizzyness, than i tigh it up in a hair clip, or tie... ive been doing that for the past month and half. less hair is falling out and it looks ok, but i am sick of tieing it every day, i miss wearing my hair down... ppl have told me deep conditioners work good to make ur hair fuller, what should i use to make my hair thicker and fuller within the next couple months?

Putting your hair up will work against making it fuller. Any pulling at all will cause a higher percent of breakage than if you just leave it down.

Buy a guys thickening shampoo, not women's shampoo. It works better. Get like Vive Pro for men thickening shampoo.

Have you ever tried a clay, hair mask? Try that to get some pampering for your hair. Stop using the gel and other products as those are the reasons your hair is falling out. If you really need a gel, try a natural approach by boiling a load of flax seeds in water and then straining it (I am sure there is a recipe for this online..just look under 'flax seed hair gel recipe').
Best of luck. =o))

when u dry ur hair, try cutting down a hair dryer; it makes ur hair dry and stuff. i use pantene shampoo and conditioner, and so many ppl tell me my hair is just like in the commercial lol. just be natural w/it; don't use so many products and stuff like u used to.

i have long thick hair myself and had it that way for years and deep conditioners don't really matter and i think they dont make a difference. the less you burn (straighten) and put chemicals in your hair the better it will get. long hair usually keeps itself straight because of the weight. and im guessing you blowdry your hair, well that every day can be bad for your hair too. try for some days letting it dry natually.
good lick with that, just leave your hair out anyway who cares if its a bit frizzy or alot.

this has happened to my older cousin and myself, were both guys btw, "what do guys know about hair?" its weird, but yeaaa we know stuff.
during my freshman/sophmore year i always straightened my hair, shampooed, conditionered, deep conditioned when i bought some, use wax and even colored/retouched my hair every 4-6 months. over time the long term affects started showing. I would find some of my hair falling out when i shampooed, and after i straightened my hair i would find various ammounts of hair were i straighted it.
the thing is, it sounds like your hair is damaged from everthing that you've been doing. it's thinning, and if you continue what your doing with your hair, the looong long long term effects maybe be early balding due to the thinning.
to prevent this, dont straighten you hair all the time, chi straighters are good, ive used one before until i cut my hair short. dont color your hair all the time. and dont use too much shampoo all the time. when taking baths, consider not using shampoo or conditioner all the time. when you strighten your hair its all the same, no one will know if you never used shampoo for that one day. deep conditioner will make you hair fuller? not excatly, each shampoo, conditioner, deepconditioner all has its own special purpose. consider switching to high quality shampoo/conditione that help revive damaged hair.
and since thinning hair literally falls out, it may take more than just "the next coupel months"
