Hair products for short/fine/matt/messy hair?

Can anyone recommend a good styling product for really fine short hair? I have a very slight mohican and would like a bit of a choppy messy look. I've tried using gel in the past but it makes my hair look wet and too spiky so I started using really hard wax which worked a lot better but I find it doesn't hold for long, especially when I go out in the wind.

I've heard that glue might be the answer... has anyone else tried it? Does it leave hair looking wet and is it hard to restyle it if it gets messed up?

It would be great if anyone could recommend a good rock hard wax or glue that gives a matt look. Thanks in advance.

Hair problems for a 17 male?

hey guys im 17 and im starting to grow out my hair and i was wndering if there was some type of gel or something i could use tht would keep my hair moist and wet looking like something that i could use to show my hair off like i just got out of the shower..i use garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner and i like how the conditioner keeps my hair but i wanna keep it like that all the time anyone have any suggestions kinda something like a gel or something that would keep my hair stylish outside the shower but still smooth all day and make it look like i just got out of the shower..thanks

Hair problems for a 17 male?

Just use any gel.

Your hair is gonna look really greasy.

Hair problems for a 17 male?

Any kind of gel should achieve this look but there are specific gels that state they are for the "wet look". These can be found at most discount stores.

Hair problems for a 17 male?

You then need to use a mousse. Pick up a tres semme (maybe i'v spelt it wrong) or pantene ice shine mousse from the drug store. Make sure that u pick up in maximum hold as this will keep ur hair in place for hours.

After u get off from the shower apply lots n lots of mousse n ur wet hair, style it n then just leave it. don't touch from then. you will have a wet look all day. Mousse is good if you have long hair. on short hair go for some gel. every gel will give u a wet look as long as its a gel n not any thing else like a pomade or glue.

I need help from a real hair stylist for guys?

what should i do to get my hair like this besides growing it like putting gel or some special shampoo, etc. Also what should i tell my hair stylist to do. Please go to this site and help me that person is Juanes a singer he is the guy on the page in the brown leather jacket:

http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...

I need help from a real hair stylist for guys?

I don't know how thick your hair is, or what the texture of it is. It just looks like he hasn't washed his hair in a few days. My boyfriend's hair looks just like that when it is dirty. You can make your hair look dirty with some paste, or some oil serum. It doesn't look like he has much of anything else to do. Just print the picture out, and take it in to your stylist. It is a really simple cut, and stylists do much better seeing the picture, than describing it. That is my best advice for you. Good Luck

I need help from a real hair stylist for guys?

If you don't already have someone you trust, I would say to first find a stylist at a reputable salon. Bring in a picture, multiple pictures would be helpful if they show what you'd like it to look like in the back, sides, etc. I'd also recommend you do a consultation prior to getting your hair actually cut to make sure you don't need to do anything specific for your face or need to grow your hair out longer, etc, etc.

Also, I'd say as far as styling products, it looks like you might need a flat iron and a styling pomade, like Jonathan's Dirt or Bed Head's Manipulator.

Hope this helps!

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

I know that any hair products can't just make your hair curly but does the hair products that the ppl who have curly hair use like curling shampoo, sprays, gels work on ppl who have striaght hair use that for making your hair a little curly like PANTYNE HYDRATING CURLS, SUNSILK FOR CURLY HAIR, OR THAT NEW HERBLE ESSENSE.

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

DON'T USE OVER THE CONTER! USE REDKEN FRESH CURLS SHAMPOO CONDITIONER AND REDKEN RINGLET 07. GO TO WWW.REKDEN.COM TO FIND A SALON NEAR YOU! THE STORE PRODUCTS DAMAGE HAIR

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

Those are more for people with perms.

I would recommend a perm. They have alot of options nowdays and they don't stink as bad as they used to.

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

i dont think they do..those are made for ppl who already have naturally curly or permed hair...sorry

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

hmm i have no clue

because i have naturally curly hair

you could get a perm

they dont last forever

so if u dont like it

you can always let it grow out

but all i can say is that

you can have my hair..

we can trade

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

Nope. There is the curling shampoo, but it just primes your hair for it to be hot rolled or curled. The only way to really get curly hair is to get a perm.

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

you are wrong!there is a conditoiner that you put on when you are in the shower.idk what it is called but you put it on in the shower and it makes your hair curly!there is a nother one that can make your hair strait too!

Any hair products that can make stright hair curly???

those products are made to enhance your curls. but if you don't have any curls or waves, there is nothing to be enhanced.

you can use hot rollers or a curling iron. that's less drastic than a perm.

How can i get my hair dryed fast without using a blow dryer?

Dry it with a towel. Then redry it with a towel that was heated in the clothes dryer. It will absorb more moisture by being hot.

This is my help from Washington, D.C. USA.

How can i get my hair dryed fast without using a blow dryer?

How can i get my hair dryed fast without using a blow dryer?

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

please help me...is a shampoo or a gel or something..it turns your hair brown and is not a product to dye my hair is to change it little by little...

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

you can get those listed above @ any walmart, target, wallgreens, cvs...

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

glaze. john frieda makes a good one

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

John Freida "brunette" line also has a line for red hair and blondes. The brunette line of products has shampoos, conditioners and other hair products that can alter slightly the colour of your hair. It comes in i believe 2(??) diferent brunette colours for the the lines.

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

Maneur shampoo

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

Luminous Glaze by John Frieda does this. You use it in the shower and then rinse it out. It costs about $8 and you can get it at most drugstores, like Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and a lot of other places.

I use it and I really like it a lot. It brings out the highlights in your hair and lightens it. It also makes it really shiny and glossy and smooth.

What is the name of this shampoo that turns your hair brown little by little?

i would go to aveda and get one of the 'personal blends'(every time you wash your hair or condition, whatever you choose, it will deposit the color into your hair. the conditioner with deposit more and you can leave in on for a few mins).. the brown one and use that, i wouldnt use anything from an drugstores. if you are lighter and slowly trying to go darker thats your best bet..

Hair Straightening cream?

I came across this little Korean salon that carried this hair straightening cream that's $6 per jar and perms your hair straightly and makes it radiate.

I kinda wanted to try it since I'm always so frowny about my curly hair (it's a little unusual for asians to have curly-puffy hair so I don't like it), but for something that costs that much (and isn't really proffesional) it's gotta have some side effects, right?

It's a comb in + wash out kind of cream, so do you guys think it'll seriously ruin my hair (i.e. massive hair loss, altering hair color, lots of brittling effects)? Should I get it? Are there any other GOOD straightening creams out there?

I have a straightener and everything, but my hair just becomes frizzy and puffy again after I go outside into the summer humidity. Sprays and gel don't work in my stubborn hair either! T______T

I'm so sick of my hair!

Hair Straightening cream?

use it on a small section of your hair first and see how it works!!

if not, get a japanese hair perm or whatever it's called.. i heard it works really good..

good luck =]

Hair Straightening cream?

just try it for a little while and find out if there are bad side effects..if it works PLZ TELL ME WHERE TO GET IT!!!!!

I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it sometimes..?

only when I straighten it am I able to use an actual curling iron. I love the curls the curling iron does.. which is why I would like to use it. But how in the hell can I keep those curls in? I cant go out to the store and buy any product.. so I just have your basic hairspray, mouse, and gel. Should I like spray the hair I am going to curl first with hairspray then curl it? then spray it again?? someone heeeellllppp me!

I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it sometimes..?

ok so you have naturally curly hair?? how about using shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Then useing curl enhancing treatment spray. Then dry your hair using the diffuser attachment on your hair dryer (its the big round thing). It takes longer but produces lovely natural curls that will stay in coz they are not artifical.

Also, if you put you used the same products as above, dried your hair untile it was 70% dry and then put in curlers and finished drying your hair with a dryer cap. (you can buy this and stick it onto your hair dryer, its a cap that you put on your head) and finished drying your hair with this, you will also get beautiful curls. Try to avoid the curling iron. its bad for your hair.

I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it sometimes..?

don't know, yaar

I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it sometimes..?

don't spray it and curl it, use the spray when you are done curling your hair, because it is not healthy for your hair to be sprayed then curled, especially if you are using the iron, it will burn your hair...

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

Hellooo...

I used to have my hair fairly short and spiked up with gel, but now ive decided to grow it long and im not really sure what to do with it... I will probably end up straightening it once its a bit longer.

I've heard that highlights in guys are a big turnoff for some girls... But i was just thinking subtle light chestnut coloured stuff...I dunno, I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to hair styling, all i've know before is gel/wax :)

Ideas would be great, thanks!

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

You're really good looking. I think if you grew your hair long it would really suit you. You'd look great. I wouldn't bother with anything else, highlights or gel. Though highlights would be ok if you want to try them. Maybe try something non-permanent to see how it would look. But definitely grow your hair long. And I wouldn't straighten it either. It'll look nicer long when it's a bit wavy. Stick straight long hair isn't very nice.

Anyone who says long hair is a turn off doesn't know what they're talking about. At least try it.

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

Grow it out for another six months.

Then I'd dye it a light brown color.

And deff straighten it noww.

Because your hair looks icky and nappy.

AND HAIRSPRAY/

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

just use gell!

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

this dosent really answer your question but you may find it use full. Dont do gel its crap, wax all the way bert. Wa x is good coz you can restyle it again plus it is usually matt not all glossy like gel, unless of course your going for like a wet look

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

i think justt spike it up with gel and if u want to get a colour jus do the tips ..not too blondish tho...!!xD

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

Hellooo....!

Well, your hair is exactally like this friend of mine and he did this. It looks sexy!!!!!! So, as long as you do what he did, you'll look hotter than him!

Don't straighten it. .That'll only damage your hair. What you wanna do is wash it and comb it straight while blowdrying it. Your hair won't be completely straight but good, that looks fake.

Get highlights and lowlights. Your highlights should be dark blonde/light brown and light red. The lowloghts will turn out a little darker than your hair, but that's good because your roots will grow in nicely.

You don't want multi-colored hair when your roots grow in, do you?!

Do not grow it out much longer. If you do, then girls will be turned off. Keep it simple and it will look great!

Hope I helped

What can i do with my hair - brown medium and growing? Highlights? (pics inc.)?

Do your hair how it makes you feel comfortable, but whatever you do DITCH THE HAIR GEL!!! that is a complete turnoff to most girls, subtle highlights are fine.

What's the best way to give my short hair the "messy" look without getting the shiny

Using gel or wax generally makes the hair look shiny and too forced, whereas using pomade and "lighter" things usually don't hold my hair in place for more than a couple of hours and it ends up falling over my eyes...

What's the best way to give my short hair the "messy" look without getting the shiny look that usually occurs?

OK get it layered and get some hair glue by red ken it works and hold 4 a long long time now remember u only use a pea size amount stylist here 20 yrs

What's the best way to give my short hair the "messy" look without getting the shiny look that usually occurs?

use hair wax :)

What's the best way to give my short hair the "messy" look without getting the shiny look that usually occurs?

use hair glue. it comes in a yellow tube and works great, and its not shiny!

What's the best way to give my short hair the "messy" look without getting the shiny look that usually occurs?

Get Garnier Fructis Surf Hair Texturing Paste. It's not shiny and doesn't even feel like you have it in your hair, has a great hold and has no scent. Hope this helps!

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

-info you should know before recommending.

I'm mixed. Black and white so my hair is pretty curly , frizzy, and poofy. Gel wasn't working for me because it made my hair dry out, and was just too hard, and sticky. Also it didn't have the affect i wanted.

-What i want moose to do.

since my hair gets poofy and looks rather thick curly, i want the moose to kinda relax my hair [not chemically] just make it lay down better. My curls tend to shrink up lol. my hair is an inch or two past my shoulders when i first get out of the shower. But when my hair dries it can get all the way up to my chin. So i guess what im trying to say is, i want my hair to look like it does before it becomes dried, and frizzy. i want "coming right out of the shower when my hair hangs down."

thnx, :]

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

LOL

I'm sorry a moose is an animal and I couldn't help laughing. I do know what you mean though.

Really, curly hair looks best with just a minimum of conditioner, like not even 1/8 teaspoon, mixed in water, applied to the hair, and only partially rinsed out. You need something to keep it from flying away, but you don't want to have too much junk on it. Finger comb or use a very wide toothed comb. No brushing at all!

Sorry I laughed. I hope you are not mad.

Oh, and don't let the conditioner get all the way down to your scalp. It can clog the pores and isn't good for you.

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

I really prefer caribou to moose, personally. It gives such a great shine!

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

Have you checked this website?

www.naturallycurly.com

It has so much information. They have tons of reviews on different products. I'm sure you'll find your answer there.

Good Luck!

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

It's mousse, sweetie.

I'm mixed too. I stopped using mousse because it makes my hair hard and crunchy. Yes, it controls frizz and defines the curls, but I want my hair to be soft and touchable.

I always recommend first of all using a really thick, heavy conditioner, like Pantene for dry/damaged hair, or Tresemme moisturizing conditioner.

Then, you gotta try Smooth n Shine. It's my absolutely necessary hair product. It leaves my hair shiny and soft, and it defines the curls. It's not real greasy either.

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

get gariner curl inject mousse i just bought the ganreir XXL thickeing mossue it's pretty good but coulde me better

What is the best kind of moose to use on curly hair?

Hi, I know what you mean I am Black, Irish, Native American, Dutch, Haitian, and French. That means I know about the poof. You should use Sunsilk Anti-Poof, De-Frizz, and Straighten Up. Go to http://www.gethairapy.com and you can read about the products and choose which is best for you, after you read about the products you can choose free samples! There is one that is neither a mousse or a styling creme, but it's a combo of the two.

Has anyone any advice about how to manage afro hair?

My friend has afro hair that is so tightly curled that if you put water on it, the water is repelled and falls off in droplets, just like the water off the duck's back. It's a nightmare for her. She has had it 'relaxed', put in braids and used a straightener on it.Far from being the strong hair that it looks like, Afro hair is really very fragile and all of these treatments have left her in the sorry state that if she doesnt stop using them, her hair will just break off.

Is there any product available in the uk that will loosen her hair without damaging it? Some kind of wax or gel or something? If she had some product that would enable her to comb and flatten the top, she could pull it back and use a false ponytail. This would stop the hair being damaged with treatments and would look good at the same time. In the USA their are probably many products but none in the British Isles that she is aware of. Can anyone help with this, please?

Has anyone any advice about how to manage afro hair?

have you tried frizzease you can get it for frizzy hair from most chemists or try coconut oil which tends to soften it. you can comb it through.failing that try combing baby oil,or baby cream eg:(johnsons).another product she may find helpful is olive oil.good luck.

Really, really short cut.

Trust me, I am not black but.....my hair is so damn curley that I have to use some of thoes products..

Has anyone any advice about how to manage afro hair?

NO do not cut it short just buy some sampoo that will make her hair stronger like my best friend uses olay and she has really fragle hair too. but now it looks better than ever.

Has anyone any advice about how to manage afro hair?

i believe that the company john frieda is based out of london so i would thimk that their products would be available there the frizz ease line does amazing things for afro hair (i too have a best friend with an afro) they have shampoos and conditioners and serums and styling products it works pretty well on my friends hair

Has anyone any advice about how to manage afro hair?

YOU PEOPLE DISGUST ME, YOU HAVE STRAIGHT BEEN PROGRAMMED. YOU OR YOUR FRIEND NEED AN ADJUSTMENT MENTALLY. HONEY YOU ARE NOT YOUR HAIR. KEEP THAT FAKE **** out of your hair, stop paying attention to the t.v.,stop tripping off the people in the magazines. How can I make my hair stand on end?

I am going to a party where i want to look like a punk - what is the best way to get my hair to stand on end and stay firm? I have heard egg whites hold hair well, but is this better then strong gel?

How can I make my hair stand on end?

Knox gelatin will work for liberty spikes, mohawks, etc...

How can I make my hair stand on end?

hmmm... i would say use some sort of strong putty, but do it with ur head upside down and let it dry, then use loads of hairspray upside down too.

How can I make my hair stand on end?

Try some products from Garnier. They have 2 products for holding hair very well and that's their: Fiber Gum Putty %26amp; Super Stiff Gel.

X-tra rough hair?

i am a asian boy who has x-tra rough hair. it is short, about 1 inch long. i want hair like josh hutcherson, so when i get a haircut, it isn't always a crew cut. it sticks up like an afro so my head looks puffy. which hair products should i use? ASAP!!!!! NO GEL, BLOWDRYING, OR STRAIGHTENERS!!!!!

X-tra rough hair?

picky much?

X-tra rough hair?

try x-tra conditioner..

X-tra rough hair?

I閳ユ獡 not sure exactly what you mean by rough hair. Do you mean it has a texture to it? Or do you mean that the actual hair follicles are thick? The latter is a common problem for many Asians. There are simply too many physical hairs on their head and on top of that the actual hairs are thicker in comparison to most other people. The compressed number of hairs plus the thickness of the hair itself makes the hair go directly away from the scalp for a further length than someone with thinner hair (in other words this creates volume). I would suggest having your stylist 閳ユ涪hin閳?your hair. He or she will know what you mean by this. Thinning your hair is a process using thinning sheers (scissors with teeth on one side) or a razor (recently popular) that involves taking very small sections of hair and cutting it much shorter than the rest of your hair taking away some of the 閳ユ笧e-enforcement閳?created by these hairs. You will notice that your hair lays down much more flat from the roots. You are going to need to go through a 閳ユ笀row out閳?stage before getting this cut this cut judging by the pictures I was able to find of the person you referenced had bands down to his forehead. You should try to give your hair stylist 2 闄?- 3閳?

Hope this helps! Good luck!

How do you scrunch your hair???

I have long brown hair that goes lil ways past my shoulders and its all in choppy layers.. and ive tries scrunching my hair when its damp with garnier spray gel.. and its DOESNT WORK! and i dont kno how to use the regular gel cuz.. i just dont kno!!

how can i scrunch my hair??

How do you scrunch your hair???

How To Scrunch Hair

Styles with natural wave, flips and ripples are hot this spring. To get this look you may have to master the art of Scrunching.

If your hair has a slight natural bend, wave or natural curl, follow these steps.

Shampoo and condition with products formulated to improve your hair's texture and flexibility.

Towel dry your hair so that it is damp, not dripping.

Apply a firm hold styling aid from the root area to the ends. Hair Gel or Glaze is usually better for heavy hair and Styling Foam or Mousse usually works for fine hair. You may have to experiment to see which works for you.

To dry your hair, you will either use a diffuser or let it dry naturally. Either way, you must be patient to not rush the drying process.

Grab a chunk of hair, squeeze and push the ends up toward your head, causing it to 'crinkle'. If you are using a diffuser, direct the air flow toward the chunk of hair you are working with. Drop that piece of hair and grab another chunk. Repeat the process until you have worked with all of your hair. Go over it again and again until your hair is dry.

Grabbing small chunks of hair and working more slowly will give you more curl.

Larger chunks of hair will give a larger wave effect.

To save time, shorten the process by:

As soon as you get up, get into the shower.

Follow step 1

Immediately upon getting out follow step 2.

Then grab chunks of hair, wad them up and clip them to your head loosely. (The clips to use are similar to those used with hot rollers. Only without the rollers!)They must be loose enough for the air to circulate. When you have all of your hair up in clips, it will be messy looking.

Then have your coffee, breakfast and continue getting ready for work. Your hair will be air-drying at this time.

When you are dressed and have your make-up on, check your hair. If it is still very wet, use the diffuser on it.

When it is almost dry, carefully take out all the clips. Continue scrunching, using the diffuser until your hair is completely dry.

To get rid of any frizz, finish your style by scrunching some hair creme into the ends and adding spray shine.

Visit http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art4... for step by step pictures

Steps

Wash and condition your hair. Make sure you squeeze the excess water out of your hair. To scrunch it, you want it damp, not soaking.

Wrap your hair in a towel to dry it a bit. Only brush your hair once when you first get out of the shower .

Comb your fingers through your hair and make a part as best as you can. Don't worry if it's not perfect.

Spray hairspray in your hair. put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Putting it too close to your roots will cause it to look greasy and weighed down.

Put gel in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel.

Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few seconds.

Repeat this all over your head, keeping in mind that the small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

Take a large scrunchie (hair tie) and tie your hair up in a large and messy bun -- just make sure it stays.

Add some hairspray to the bun and go to bed. When you wake up, take your hair out of the bun.

Tips

Fine/thin, naturally straight, or chemically-straightened hair may be resistant to scrunching. If this is the case, apply curl-defining mousse or gel to the hair and curl it using a barrel iron. When the curl is still warm, take the end of the curl and pull it until the hair is straight. Let go once the curl has cooled - it should bounce back wavier and looser than before. Apply more gel, if necessary.

For best results, use shampoo, conditioner, and products (gel, mousse, hairspray, etc) that specifically define curls.

Never rub a towel vigorously around the ends of hair, because it causes split ends and frizz. If needed, scrunch with the towel.

Warnings

Don't put too much gel in your hair in one spot because once it dries, it will turn white and flaky.

Don't even think about brushing your hair after you've scrunched it. You will look like you got electrocuted.

Things You'll Need

Mousse or gel, hairspray, time, and patience

How do you scrunch your hair???

Moose and hair spray

How do you scrunch your hair???

Gel. hairspray. And just SCRUNCH your heart out...hairspray while scrunching. It should work! Good luck :-)

How do you scrunch your hair???

What i do to get my hair curly is get my hair wet and put it in pigtail messy buns. Then in the morning when my hair is dry i take it down hairspray it , and i'm ready to go.

How do you scrunch your hair???

Right after you get out of the shower drench it with moose and scrunch it . Then let it dry little and scrunch some more then put a ton of hairspray. It worked on my hair which is very thinck and long

How do you scrunch your hair???

well when i scrunch mine i find the best way is to have damp hair and put moose in it and jst scrunch it up and just keep doing that for a little while and then spray hair spray and scrunch again and then finally if u were doing it over night (which is really good) you sort of split your hair up in to some sections maybe 4 and jst tye them up into little buns and put a little bit of more hair spray..and then in the morning and you tkae them out little more moose and hairspray and it should be really nice and scrunched... it works for me... good luck

How do you scrunch your hair???

you can try ironing it and then putting mousse through your hair and scrunching it. that should work or you could ask your hairdresser for some advice.

How do you scrunch your hair???

Paul Mitchell freeze and shine and then scrunch it may take a couple of sprays and scrunching but it works great

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Th

I have been using a natural soap to help thicken it and hide some of the bald spots. Also, I use gel and mousse and straigten my hair less frequently. Is there anything else I can do?

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

i did the same thing 2 years ago and ya it wasn't worth the money. it only lasted 5 months and they said it would last a year. but it depends how thick your hair was in the beginning, because i know i have like four heads of hair. if i could i'd lend you some. but i would ask your hairstylist. i did and she can help.

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

just get it cut my hair was damaged to i got my cut like halle berry's hair and in 6 months it grew to my shoulders

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

By now, the hair you have is not the same hair you had chemically relaxed. There are salons that can strip all the gunk out of your hair, but the only sure way is to shave your head and let it all grow back out.

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

You need to see a hair expert or possibly a dermatoligist. There are some prescribed medicines which may help.

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

Hair cannot be permanently damaged; new hair grows in all the time (about 1/2 inch per month). Anything you did 3 years ago is long gone, unless you somehow did damage to your scalp and hair follicles themselves.

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

i would suggest you completely stop relaxing your hair....condition and treat your hair often....and let your hair grow out the relaxer.....in the meantime keep clipping your hair as it grows..

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

stop stressing your tresses!!!!! no mousse or gel since it dries your hair and will cause it to break off. Get a hair repair serum like john freda's Frizz Eaze....wash and condtion with VO5 split end repair (it's blue) you can buy all 3 products to total around $10.00. get a regular trim to take off broken ends that will continue to split if they are not cut and treated. (about 4-6 weeks and just a 1/4 inch each time) depending on far up your hair is split a stylist may suggest a shorter cut and start fresh but it always up to YOU how much is allowed off. Good Luck

I had my hair chemically relaxed 3.5 years ago. I think it is permanantly damaged. What can I do? Thanks.?

A few years ago I had my hair completely ruined by medication .. It'll never be the color texture or thickness it was but I found a few things that helped ...

1. Prenatal Vitamins - They're the same as the hair, face and nails vitamins only cheaper!

2. Cut it short and keep cutting it every 2-6 weeks

3. Try to style it as little as possible.

4. Try using cholesterol, they sell it at Sallys or hair supply places ... Hot Oil treatments or even mayo, yes it sounds gross but it puts a lot of grease and protein back into your hair.

5. Use a lot of condition and good conditioner. I went to SAllys and bought the knockoff of Biolage or Botanical whatever its called.

6. Eat things that are high in vitamin B such as potatoes, bananas, lentils, chilli peppers, tempeh, liver, turkey, and tuna. ..

Getting Curly Hair?

I have straight hair, and I always curl it with gel, and I like it, but I want some better results. How can I get my hair as curly as the girl on the left? http://www.kineda.com/gallery/album/girl...

or how can I get my hair wavy and full like in this picture?

http://www.cwtv.com/shows/pussycat-dolls...

Getting Curly Hair?

It took me a while to figure out how to curl my hair and make it stay. But the best way is to pull the top section of hair up and clip it and start with the bottom layer of hair. Take like one inch sections and curl it about half way up. Let it down in like a spiral, then hairspray. Do about 3 different layers, but make sure to hairspray or it won't stay. After you've curled it all just run your fingers through it a little bit and it should look awesome. There are some video's on Youtube if you just do a search for "how to curl hair" or something. They're pretty helpful! Good Luck!

Getting Curly Hair?

to curl or wave my hair i use straighteners !

use straighteners with the rounded edges and indents in them so you twist your hair round them and hold it there for a while( just like curling tongs) then let your hair go

it should leave a lovely wave !

good luck x

p.s if the wave drops quickly try using a quick spray of a holding hair spray !

Make My Hair Straight?

my mate always has his hair short cos his hair doesnt grow straight its immune to gel but he wants it longer and straight.

(he hasnt got enough hair to straigten it)

Make My Hair Straight?

he could get it chemically relaxed. but he shouldn't do it until it's as long as he wants because otherwise he'd have to do it multiple times and it can get expensive.

How do you get your hair like this?

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v651/h...

Is this just the cut, or do you have to put gel in it/straighten it (my hair isn't curly, just a little wavy)? Thanks!

How do you get your hair like this?

you have to straighten it and flip it out a bit

How do you get your hair like this?

It's def. a cut, and it might have some gel in it or some sort of spray to keep it so shiney. Also, it's straightened, which you will have to do like I do with mine since I have a bit of a wave. I would bring the pic. into a salon and have them do it, I bet they could do it perfectly :o)

How do you get your hair like this?

You have to have it layered or cut and then straightened if you have curly/wavy hair.

How do you get your hair like this?

hmmm... i dont know but a hairstylist probably does

How do you get your hair like this?

I believe it just the cute. There are short layers at the top, more like a mullet.

How do you get your hair like this?

I think its the cut because if you look closely it's the cut and you might have to straighten it up a little.

How do you get your hair like this?

Think it is the cut and then maybe blow dry with a paddle brush--no flipping under or out.

How do you get your hair like this?

Well, it looks like the haircut is sorta layered. My wife straightens her her with a hair iron. It takes quite a while, but her hair is curly and comes out straight.

How do you get your hair like this?

i think its both you get it layer cut and put wax in it at the top and then the bottom bit you straighten it

How do you get your hair like this?

cut and streighten. but why would u want your hair like that? its sssooooooo not cute

How do you get your hair like this?

It is a shag... if you have wave and want that exact look you will want to use a flat iron if a blowdryer won't pull out all of the wave. In order to get that chunky look, when it is dry, take a little fiber wax (a stiff, glue type cream) and rub your fingers together, then start just pulling pieces of hair with your fingers adding more product as needed. That piecy look is done with nothing but finger manipulation and product. It's very easy once you get the hang of it. When you get the cut done get the style too and have the stylist show you how.

How do you get your hair like this?

it's the cut. if you decide to get your hair cut like this, bring the pic. you could then blow dry it straight with a straightening balm, and add some shine serum.

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

Hairdryers make my hair incurable frizzy and poofy, which my gel and straightener cannot cure. Air drying is best for my hair, but who has time to wait for their hair to dry before styling it? I saw at Walmart a straightener that claims you can use it when your hair is wet, and that is "steam dries" your hair. Can anyone tell me if they work? The one at Walmart was only $23 - do only the more expensive ones work? Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me!!

-Laura

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

I advise you to STAY AWAY from the wet to straight flat irons, unless it's a CHI or Solano or one of those high end straighteners. I say this based on experience. I purchased a wet to straight hair straightener in Sally's that wasn't really expensive and thought it would be really convenient but it's SO damaging to the hair!! It's really worth the investment if you buy the CHI (the one I have now) because it works like a charm. I have extremely curly, thick, frizzy hair and it's basically what I like to call "the wildebeast attached to my head."

So...now that I have the CHI I can straighten my hair in about 15 mins (20 tops, if it's really humid). Which is a HUGE upgrade from spending years of blow drying and then using irons and having it take 45 mins to an hour. SO worth it. And the CHI leaves my hair soft and shiny. It's also newer technology so it's not damaging the ends. Heat of any kind is going to do damage of some kind, but it's not anywhere close to the kind of breakage my hair had to endure from my previous wet-to-straight iron. Also, be sure to use heat protective styling lotions / products beforehand while your hair is wet. (I like using Aveda Smooth Infusion and Aveda Hang Straight).

I hope that helps!

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

actually, i think if u use a straightener when your hair is wet that it burns its, and makes it thinner than thin. the heat is more damaging to your hair, though. the thinness you can take care of.

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

They fry out your hair really bad!Just air dry!

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

You can't.

It'll fry your hair, to a nasty breakable crunchy mess!!!!

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

oh thats a biiig NO!! just air dry your hair.. sit in front of the a/c or a fan or something!! lol.

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

i use remington wet 2 straight.

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

I have a cheap one, it works really good its conair....on the side theres hole where steam comes out from ure hair water....i recommend it

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

No Dude..it works..i think i have the one you're talking about..the remmington wet2straight? yeah it works miracles..but you have to go over the piece of hair youre straightening a few times to get it dry straight and fly-away free..but its a GREAT straightener!

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

definitely do NOT straighten your hair when it's wet, no matter what the product claims it does. Besides, you found it at Wal*Mart... that's probably the worst place to buy any products

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

No no no no no no no no! Please don't ever use a hair straightener while your hair is wet, only when hair is 100% dry.

If you straighten your hair while it is wet, it will be even more frizzier it will turn dry and damaged.. Also Walmart hair straighteners work, but if you have frizzy hair, then atleast buy a 50$ dollar one, but never a wet2straight hair straightener.

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

I have been doing hair for a long time and I would never put an iron to wet hair, the steam will burn you so bad, My opinion is I dont see how that would work without burning your scalp, even if you blow dry it and its frizzy and use a good flat iron or a press comb and use some serum in it all the frizz should turn straight and shinny.

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

try going to a hair salon or beauty store, they know whats best for your hair, and they suggest very good brands that i'm sure will work for you. As for the wal-mart straightener, it's pretty cheap to work very well, but that's your decision. Hope you like my answer: )

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

Okay. I have one that is from Target and it's called wet-to-style and it's for that use.. but I NEVER do that.. It's completely damaging to your hair and i would never do it.. I got it for Christmas and thats the only reason I have one. they make your hair very thin and dead looking.. please please don't do these...they damage your hair and makes it nasty...tho it does work *my friend uses it* it just makes your hair look dead...

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

i have one it's called Wet 2 Straight Hair, its Remington brand i think, i got it from walmart and it is cheap and works good. but it can't be 2 wet or it won't work it as 2 be damp

Straighters you can use when your hair is wet??

straightening your hair while its wet is NOT good idea. it will give you split ends and give you major fly-aways

How to wear my hair for back to school??

I have blonde hair slightly past my collarbone with layers and side swept bangs. Should I cut my hair shorter? or what should I do with it? i want to look good for the ladies. . . (

I asked a question awhile ago and people were split on what would look good.

I閳ユ獡 thinking of getting a buzzcut. Probably like a little longer like a 4 on top and maybe shorter on the sides. Hair is thinning alittle so if i use gel it makes it worse and more noticable. It also gets kinda curly/wavy as it gets longer. Would real short hair be a good look for me?

I'm looking for a look that is low maintenance, professional, and finally makes me look good

what should i do, most people said my hair looked scary/bad - - - i want to look good for the ladies

Should I cut my hair shorter? or what should I do with it? i want to look good for the ladies. . . (pic)?

Yeah, I would go shorter. You already are balding and it is obvious. I would bald gracefully and go for a much shorter cut. Maybe not quite a buzz, but definitely shorter.

Try getting hair plugs or a hairpiece!

How can I get my hair to look like this?

http://www.impawards.com/2004/posters/gi...

my hair is slightly wavy and about the same length as this girl

i don't want to use a curling iron or any gel/mousse that would make my hair have a crunchy feel to it

How can I get my hair to look like this?

Well if you don't want to use a curling iron, you can tie pieces of your hair with a scrunchie. Remember you get that dent /curl from tying up your ponytail, well you could do that. Or you can get a straightener and roll it around to get curly. Other than that the only choice is to use a sort of a curler, i once saw this curler for teens at the pharmacy for like 20 bucks. If you don't want that crunchy feeling, use a conditioner or something that would soften your hair like baby shampoo.

If all options are out, go to a professional but for a cheap price i guess.

Curling iron

or you can actually use Mousse!

How do i make my hair curl up?

you could get a perm or use mousse and a curling iron to help curl your hair.

How do i make my hair curl up?

curling iron

How do i make my hair curl up?

You can use some sort of curl cream when it's wet and then use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer to dry it. Or you could roll it around a perm rod (or any other cylindrical tool ie; marker or a straw) when it's wet and blow dry it until it's completely dry. Or you could just use a curling iron.

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm

I want to take my son for a picture for his dad for father's day. His daddy thinks he is the cutest ever, no matter what, and he loves hilarious pictures so I want to take him and have his hair spiked like a mohawk and be holding a guitar or something wearing only jeans. Doesn't that sound cute?! My son has straight/slightly wavy hair on top, but around the sides and back it is totally curly ringlets. I've never cut his hair, so there is a lot to work with and it is totally baby fine. My problem is things like gel are too heavy for his hair and the mohawk curls, and mousse isn't strong enough. I don't want to douse his head in hairspray and whatever I do it has to be at the studio. Help! Please and thank you in advance for answering my crazy question!

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

Well if you were doing a true mohawk you'd have to shave off the sides. What you're looking for is more of a fohawk ^.~

Since his hair is baby fine, it will be incredibly hard for you to do this without hairspray. Here's a trick, though, so you won't have to use an entire can of hairpray. First thing you will want to do is run a flat iron through his hair. You should put a light styling product in it so that the heat doesn't burn his hair ('silk therapy' works really well). Once that's done, spray his hair with hairspray at the base, working your way down the length of the hair only a little until it's somewhat stiff. This will allow you to style his hair properly. Next, grab a brush with hard bristles and backbrush the heck out of that hair along the base. This will ensure that the hair will stick straight up. Next, lightly comb the hair upwards. You'll have to be careful to not disturb the backbrushing that you have done. Here you should start spraying it lightly with hairspray again until you get it standing up. Also something that helps is clipping the hair with bobby pins or hair pins at the very base of the mohawk itself so that the rest of the hair will lie flat to the head. You'll be able to take the pins out later on once you're done and the hair will still stay the way you placeced it. If you want a really firm hold you should get spray in hair wax. Only use this at the end of your styling process because once it's in, that hair is not gonna go anywhere. The 'Bed Head' product line is the best for this. Most of their products are made specifically for punk type hairstyles and it is a professional product. Also, you can grab a spray in crazy color like blue or red and add that in there for a crazier effect. Good luck with it!

spiker has colored hair gel that works great.

matching sunglasses and he's good to go!

the trick is to shampoo his hair early in the day and use the gel a few hours later (after it's dry and a bit 'used')

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

I hear shaving cream works pretty well to mold hair. I am unsure about how damaging or not damaging it is to hair. Just thought it might be something you could further look into.

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

try watered down gel. like wet his hair and don't wipe you hand from the water just put gel on the wet hand and put it in that you don't weight down the cute thin hair

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

Have you tried hair wax? It would be strong enough to get his baby hair to stick up, but not as stiff as gel.

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

Try a pomade or hair wax. They are good and sticky for that fine hair and you can use them on dry hair in the studio.

How do I successfully spike my 16-month-old son's hair into a mohawk? (read, trust me, I'm not crazy...)

Well,

the problem your running into isn't that you can't do it.. it's that you don't want to use the product (hairspray) that will get the effect you want...

The BEST I have ever found for spiking hair.. is called

got2b glued blasting freeze spray made by Schwarzkopf

You can buy it at walmart in the hairspray section it comes in a bottle that looks like a fire extinguisher it is a yellow can with a silver top nozzle..

It is made specifically for spike, cement and finsihing the wild hairstyles!

It brushes out and washes out easily.

So.. there ya go.. a solution...

but one you don't seem to like as you say you don't want to use hairspray but that's what works!

Redken has a gel that is called urban experiment 26 enamel gel. It is a very hard hold gel that will hold almost any style that you could try for, try it on damp, almost dry hair, it dries really fast so you want to be pretty quick when applying, get a fair amount in your hand before you start and start your mohawk "motion" .

What hair products should I use to get a wet look?

I have naturally curly hair(spirals and rings) I love to wear it that way, but it gets so poofy. What hair products can I use (other than gel) that would reduce the poofiness and more importantly give a 'wet' appearance. Someone told me 'hair cream' but i don't know what specifically to use. any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

What hair products should I use to get a wet look?

Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Gel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PLDSpif1...

What hair products should I use to get a wet look?

See if you can find Sebastian products "WET" I think it is called.. I used to use that years ago when I had really long hair %26amp; a spiral perm. Or else call your local beauty shop %26amp; ask them what product would work.

What hair products should I use to get a wet look?

I use Fructis "wett gel" it works for me and leaves it shiny. Wash your hair and then when its damp put it in there.

I tried Sebastian's Wett and I have curly wavy frizzy hair.. and once your hair dries up it stops looking wet. I dont recommend u to try that. Matrix has wet gel I liked it a little beter than Sebastian but same thing.. your hair looks dry after it dries. I have a friend that just uses moose after a shower and blowdries her hair upside down, and she uses no gel

What hair products should I use to get a wet look?

after taking a shower scrunch it by applying mousse to it and finishing it off with lots nd lots of hairspray it works nd it looks soo wET!!

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

I have VERY thick hair. It was damaged but I had a one year treatment and now its fine. I do go to the hair dresser to get it relaxed, and when she does it, its really thin and easy to handle... as soon as i wash it it puffs back up, and when i use the hot iron it takes me all day to straigten my hair!!! Even then, its not thin- stilll puffy!!! I use an Organic shampoo and hair mayonnaise, recommended by the hair stylist. Today I tried to put gel in it when i wet it( my hair is knida curly when wet) but as soon as it dried it poofed!!!I cant go to school like this! i need ideas plzzz!

I am almost 13 in Dec. and my hair is currently relaxed.

P.S. Remember I have thick, thick, black, frizzy hair!

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

OK baby girl I am a mid age women with thick thick hair and i found it best for me when i washed my relaxed hair i condition it and i do not wash out the condition and then i apply wrap setting lotion comb it to the back and let it set that way i sit under a hairdryer until it is dry then i blow dry my hair finish it off by applying hair grease though your hair and finish blow drying i also do my daughter hair in that manner she is ten with thick hair i know it sounds like alot but it will leave your hair straight and shiny with a lot of body. good luck i hope this helps.

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

well, first let your hair do what it does...don't try to change it....it's thick for a reason.....but try using this product from Tigi Bead Head...."Moisture Maniac" Shampoo and Conditioner

Also there is a product called curly pudding....it's great for your hair......check the link below

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

THE BEST THING THAT I THINK YOU COULD DO IS ACTUALLY GET A PERM WITH BIG RODS, SO THAT YOUR HAIR ISN'T SO KINKY. GO TO A BLACK HAIR SPECIALIST BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, THOUGH. GEL WON'T WORK, PERIOD. I DON'T THINK MOUSSE WILL EITHER.

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

get hairapy by sunsilk or Pantene pro-v for people of colour hair shampoo and conditioner. You have frizz and the weather affects it, get a frizz free shampoo

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

go to the shop

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

Use Egg on your hair once a week.

Eat a lot of spinach and green vegetables and less of sugar.

Excercise - for healthy hair - one can stand upside down on one's head. This actually increases the blood circulation around the head area which is good for the hair.

I have seen someone in my neighbourhood follow this routine and she has very lovely long black hair.

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

Use Kerri Products

How do I take care of my black hair?!?!?

Hey i am not a stylist or anything but i have some questions 1.do u do anything to your hair because braids causes thinning 2. do u roller set ur hair after shampooing and conditioning cuz that takes a large majority of the frizz 3. maybe u should try asking wat relaxer ur stylist uses cuz that could contribute too

hope i helped

2 questions about curly hair?????

1. how do you effectively get your curls to look well defined and shiny and frizz free?

2. how do you use gel if you have naturally curly hair?

step by step instructions would help =) thanks!!

2 questions about curly hair?????

ok, this should help you, if you have the time to do it all,

apply frizz serum from john freida fresh to towel dried hair and comb thru evenly, then apply a small amount of a frizz control or curl control hair gel, after that you can finger curl the hair and difuss dry it for a softer feel/look.(if you do that apply a small amount of something called secret weapon by john frieda it controls fly aways and frizzies on dried hair) or if you want to you can just scrunch and try aussies scrunching spray and let your hair air dry.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Hi! i'm a guy btw! i've got really frizzy hair which is like an afro if left alone! so i just wet my hair nd dry a bit and then put gel on.But gel goes hard although it's nce cause it turns into nice curls! i'm sick of the same hairstyle so i sometimes straighten it wif my ghd. for a change how can i tame the frizz so it's sorta wavy/curly nd looks natural. Like a messy curly look which looks natural! or a wavy look! thanks so much!

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

well, there are a few oils and gels maybe even mousses that can str8ten that up 4 u but really?....frizz cannot be tamed. It can be calmed but there is not way to tame it completely...unfortunetly. I heard it from this hair expert in a commercial...go figure.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

thanx =]. Finally i get something good for watching tv,lol Report It

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Oh that is easy. If you go to beauty stores like Ulta there are products. Try using a defrizzing shampoo. You should also talk with your hairdresser about choices.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Try this... straighten your hair completely with a straightening iron and straightening gel. Then, take a curling iron and curl all of your hair. Spray each curl with hairspray so they don't uncurl as you're curling more hair.

THEN, turn on the blow dryer on high and blow dry your hair. It should give it a cool wavy look.

(This is what my friend does, that's how I know).

Good luck!

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Try a product called Frizz-ease. It is a liquid gel you rub through your hair when it's wet. It drys soft (no crunchy hair) and has managable curls or waves. They have several products.

It even helps my daughter when it rains!!! Amazing!

Check it out!

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

As well as a defreezing shampoo... I use Pantene Pro V's Restorative Anti-Frizz hairspary. I love it because it doesn't leave it stiff. I can just apply an even coat of it and pat it down and my hair won't frizz up once.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Sounds like you may need a good conditioner. I have long curly hair myself and use a conditioner every time I shampoo. Also, if your hair is extremely coarse or frizzy, an anti frizz serum (applied sparingly!) can do wonders. Frizz-ease is a good drugstore brand, as is the salon product Matrix. I would avoid hair gels, as most of them contain alcohols that can dry out the hair and cause further frizz. Opt for a mousse, which works on the same premise as a hair gel, but is easier to apply and doesn't leave the hair hard or greasy-looking. I use VO5's "curvaceous curls" mouse. It sells for 2 or 3 dollars in a red can and works wonders for me.

If all this fails, it could just be that you need a different cut. A good stylist (preferably one who has curly hair!) can advise you on a good cut for your hair type and face shape.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

for one thing, jet your hair cut. or try

Pantene

Sunsilk

Matrix

Tresmme

any of those should do the trick.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

Easy, go to the store or your salon and get an anti frizz hair shine. It looks like a clear oil. You can put it on wet or dry, wet does work best. All of the major brands make it, you might get a little overwhelmed so I suggest that you take a sister or girlfriend, girl that's a friend with you. She'll know what to get.

Hwo to tame frizzy hair?

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgrens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

Scrunching and curling hair?

My hair is thick and wavy, but it doesn't hold curls/scrunches easily. What's a good gel and/or hairspray for schrunching hair, and what's a good curling cream to be used with a curling iron to help hold my hair? Thanks! :)

Scrunching and curling hair?

umm i use garnier fructis products...they seem to work well for me! you can buy them at any store (walmart, grocery store, etc) hope i could help!

Scrunching and curling hair?

yay i need to know that to. =]

Scrunching and curling hair?

i like Tre seme

Scrunching and curling hair?

A real simple at home technique is a spray bottle mixed with water and sea salt. The salts give a natural wave to your hair. Spray that in while your hair is damp and press your hair to your head with your fingertips: DONT SCRUNCH AND SQUEEZE WITH YOUR HANDS! This causes your hair to frizz more.

Scrunching and curling hair?

i have garnier fructic curling mousse and curl shaping spray gel and it works great. When i get out of the shower i towel dry my hari then wait maybe 5-10 minutes for my hair to dry a tiny bit and apply both of the prouducts to my hair and scrunch. It's not expensive and smells great- you could probably find it at a local drug store or i just get mine at Target.

hope i helped!

Scrunching and curling hair?

i also use the garnier fructis products - the mousse works really well for keep the curl in you hair

Scrunching and curling hair?

AVON sells a very good product called Curl Goddess, L'Oreal also carries a line of curly hair products that are good too....

Scrunching and curling hair?

I love Biolage gelee. I have naturally curly hair and works great. I also use Pantene, I forgot exactly what it's called but I think it's something like curling spray. It works great and gives you that wet look!

Scrunching and curling hair?

The absolute best is a product called Curl Booster scrunching spray by FX Special Effects. You can get it at Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!!!

My hair!!! Help!?

hi. I use to use a hair straightener. I put some friz crontrol in my hair first. my hair fried anyway! can anyone tell me a type of gel or anything that my prevent this from happening again?

My hair!!! Help!?

Use Dove smoothing cream before blowdrying. It works wounders for me! Then I use Aveda's smoothing stuff after, then straighten. It works!

My hair!!! Help!?

GHD heat protecting spray (cant exactly remember the name). but ghd straighteners get the hottest so a spray designed to protect for the hottest of the hot is definatly the best!

also use LOTS of conditioner on you hair

try not to straighten your hair every day, give it a break!

as a cheap alternative spraying hairspray before you straighten will protect your hair, but dont put frizz control on because this is not designed to take the heat from your straightneners and your probably hearing it literally sizzle your hair to death!! if your hair still looks a little frizzy afterwards put the frizz control on then but only a tiny bit or your hair will go greasy

so yeah hairspray, protective spray and conditioner!!

xxxx

My hair!!! Help!?

Go to the beauty Salon and get Redken Hot sets 22. Its to protect your hair, help straiten and give a sleek look. Or you could get a good quality Hairspray. perferably from the salon. Get one section at a time and spray the Hot sets or the Hairspray and straiten one small section at a time. these products are pricey but they really are awesome. I use them. Also you might try a better straitening iron. Like a Chi. they are about $150 and up but its a good investment. Save up for it. Chi also makes hair products to use.

My hair!!! Help!?

hey, this is really weird but get unscented lotion and put it in ur hair! but not to much because then it will get really nasty!

Whats the best gel to use?

i have naturally curly hair (loose curls) and i want to use gel because it can get frizzy but whats the best kind to use? thanks!!

Whats the best gel to use?

Garnier fructis, its so [[awesome]]

Whats the best gel to use?

I would suggest a spray-in gel, that way you don't have to get your hands all sticky!! plus it's easier to use, and I always have better luck with it!! =]

Shorter hair on me? (pics)?

I閳ユ獡 thinking of getting a buzzcut. Probably a little longer like a 4 on top and possiblyshorter on the sides. Hair is thinning alittle so if i use gel it makes it worse and more noticable. It also gets kinda curly/wavy as it gets longer. Would real short hair be a good look for me? I'm going tomorrow to get it cut

I need help with my hair. Can someone please help?

Everytime i take a shower and dry my hair with a towel, strands of hair stick up. I don't want to use gel though, because it makes my hair look all shiny and weird. How can i fix this problem?

I need help with my hair. Can someone please help?

it could be from your haircut... is your stylist "texturizing" or "thinning" it? If so, it could be a sign that it's time for another cut, if not it could be from breakage, or even new growth, or maybe it's a cowlick or whirl, gel is the only way to hold it down until it grows out or gets cut, try a glaze that has holding power, but not so much of a "chelac" factor. Biolage has a gelee, and Paul Mitchell has a Hair Sculpting Lotion, I would recommend either of these.

oil your hair regularly before washing your hair. what you could do is try and apply some hair serum after a shower.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences

does the herbal essences totally twisted shampoo/conditioner control frizz and make hair have body and cute looking curls?

what about the curl boosting mousse and the curl scrunching gel? will that just make my hair flat and stiff? or does it actually work?

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

one word: MOUSSE. I personally can't live w/ out hair mousse. I leaves your hair almost frizz free [if you put just the right amount. NOT TOO MUCH!] andand it will add some volumes. What I do is brush out my hair, bend over and shake it [I do this when its wet] and shake it some more to make it curly, then I put in the mousse. But if you put too much, your hair will be stiff, greasy looking, and dull. Good luck with that!

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

Yes it does, haven't you heard the people moaning and screaming in the shower on the comercials ?

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

no get hairapy

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

Your best bet is to get some good products from a salon!

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

i haven't tried it. i like garnier fruictiss (sp?)

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

yes herbal essences work it gives you body and sheen i've used it a lot it works great.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

no u need pantian

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

What you need to do is get rid of the perm.

This isn't 1987 anymore. People stopped getting them because they look horrid and they are SO BAD for your hair.

No shampoo or conditioner will ever help your hair. Seriously, go to an upscale salon (spend the money, it's worth it) and get rid of it!

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

have you tried drying it upside down with a dryer, gives volume

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

listen dear don't wory,u eat green %26amp;fresh vegitables,%26amp;always be happy{these are magical manteras ok}then doing all this u will come to know about the changes

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

herbal essences only gives hair good smell, but pantene pro v is the best for your kind of condition

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

it's is o.k.. you may need something a little better. You should try Infusium 23 moisturizing. Maybe a trim too. Curly hair that is to dry on the end will lack volume and will be fizzy. Also use a bit of a glace like Biosilk, not to much though because it can make your hair oily and weigh down the curls. Lot but not least use a clarifing shampoo once a week. All of this keeps my curls kicking.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

Try Sedal's anti-sponge leave -in conditioner or Avon's Naturals leave-in conditioner, or both.;

It helps me a lot with the frizz.

If you want your hair to heal... I guarantee you this will help: Aloe vera.

Put some pure aloe vera juice all over your hair, once a week for about an hour; or everyday if it is too damaged for one hour. Then, just shampoo it or just take it off with just water.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

according to me u r using more chemical products thats y ur hairs r becoming more and more ruf and deadly ...u must try some herbal product which r made by nature ...and try to use curds and lemon juice and tea juice and many others things which are cooked in kitchen ... beleive me it works and will give u a great chance and one more thing ,,, try once after washing ur hair rinse with bear or any hard drink .... it will give u great bounce in ur hair .... and u ll find the difference .....there are many other things tooooo

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

well it depends on how many times you repeat he steps. i mean i am a African American and my hair is really kinda of nappy even after a perm but i try every thing and i can say that i have tried everything and nothing has happened. but the thing is that you must try everything to get your hair the way you like.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

I am not really fond of Herbal Essence, it causes a lot fo build up after quite a few uses. Go to your local beauty supply and try some products by TIGI Bed Head or their Catwalk line, they have great products to energize curly hair, but they will be more expensive than Herbal Essence.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

Looking at your avatar I'm guessing you have long hair. There's this thing called gravity. You need more layers or shorter hair.

I have permed hair, but it lacks volume so it's jus kinda flat and frizzy, does herbal essences work?

to add curls to my relaxed hair I just use on wet hair Lotta Body setting lotion and roll up my hair nightly. It's never limp, flat and I have volume when I style it a certain way.
