My hair is pretty short...how do i frost it (color the ends)?

My hair is short but its long enough to spike with gel. I just want the ends colored...how do it do it? im a guy w/ black hair and frosting the tips brown like this color

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g39/ne...

I think my hair MIGHT be too short for the cap

My hair is pretty short...how do i frost it (color the ends)?

The cap will work!!1

My hair is pretty short...how do i frost it (color the ends)?

No offence, but that will make you look really gay.

My hair is pretty short...how do i frost it (color the ends)?

Im gay, and thats too gay for me.

My hair is pretty short...how do i frost it (color the ends)?

If you're hair is long enough to spike, it's long enough for a cap!

But if you want color like the model in the picture.... I would try to find a stylist that's experienced with Balayage. They free-hand color with a brush and/or fingers to give it a natural look. I wouldn't try it your self though like you see on those box colors. If your hairs black, it's going to be needed to be double processed (bleached, then colored brown) so it's best to see a professional and she'll go over the best options for you.

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dye

Here's my situation: I guess you can say I have curly hair. I just dyed it, and I got highlights done, I wanted to ask what shampoo and conditioner would be recommended for my hair, if my goal is to enhance the "curls", but treat it properly because I just got it dyed. Is there a shampoo and a conditioner that would work for me?? Please help!

Second part of the question. What would be recommended to make my hair more curly, what mousse, would gel (if any) would be recommended, then, last, what hairsray should I use. I was looking at buying a L'real brand. I'm looking for something I could actually buy at Target or Wal-Mart for example. What items could be recommended? Any help would be greatly appreciated! =) Thanks!!!

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

You can't get this at Target, but the Halo line from Graham Webb is an awesome line. Every product in the line is made for chemically treated hair. That goes from shampoos to hairsprays to gels. They have a curl shampoo and conditioner and a curl enhancing creme that when used with their bodifing gel makes perfect curls! The Curls Rock curl creme from TIGI is really great for curls also. For styling, use a diffuser on your blowdryer and tip your head upside down so the top doesn't get flat. If it looks frizzy add a little bit of shine serum and hairspray after its dry.

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

Well since nexus products are now available anywhere, I'd recommend for you nexus therape. Its an awesome conditioner/ moisterizer. Humectress is wonderful as well. Its a leave in conditioner, just takes a little bit. Another less expensive brand would be Aussie 3 minute miracle.

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

Well, I have probably tried every conditioner available, both expensive %26amp; inexpensive. I have the same type of hair, and I always go back to Infusium 21. It's great. Give it a chance to work. It is very reasonably priced. Be sure you get the original!

It says to leave in. I have done both, rinsed out and left in; depending on my hairs "today" condition. It is good to leave in, too. No greasy, no film, and, it makes my hair very soft and thick and healthy looking.

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

First of all buying proffessional products at stores is not reccommended. Although they are a reputable store there is cause to believe that they acquire there products from a not so reputable source. I forget the term, but basically they buy stuff cheap, and not from the manufacturer, so the manufacturer in turn ends up having to up the price of there proffessional products because of 'shortage'.

Other products (OTC) over the counter, are usually high in alkalines, acids, or alcohol and will diminish the life of your perm, dry your hair, and also fade your color faster. Reason being, none of these products are FDA approved and the can sell them cheaper because they are made cheaper. Ever buy a shampoo and then have it stop working the way it used to ? Or conditioner? Or styling product? Get a proffessional product specifically for you type hair. I have added a link below. You will be glad you invested a little more money because your hair WILL reflect the difference !

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

Having curly and dyed hair myself i can offer you some advice going back to the days when i purchased store brand products, which i no longer use.

For one, it is going to be a trial and error type of scenario on your part. Hair varies from individual to individual.

My hair is baby fine and very curly, however it has to be styled/diffused in a certain way in order to have the curl reach its full potential. Please keep this in mind when reading my advice, as if your hair is thick and curly these products may not work as well for you.

Target has a salong product available called "Dumb Blond" its a super thick conditioner from TIGI(i think).. comes in a tube. I used to use this every time i washed, you may use it less often, but i swore by this back in the day.

THe other non salon products i used were FrizzEase, especially the hair serum. IT works.. But do not over use... that is the key.

Frizz ease shampoo and conditioner work well also

The key to curly hair will be using moisturizing conditioners and also how you style them. For one, depending on your curl.. if its very curly , DO NOT brush your hair, this is key. You want to use a wide tooth comb, put in hair serum, follow with either gel or mousse.. (L'oreal or Frizzease) . .. then diffisue your hair upside down, while scrunching them... this will set your curl.

Gel will yield a heavier weighed down curl look..... mousse wilil make you have a more fluffy curl.

Using a good blow dryer is essential... i use a T3(recently became available at sephora) .. but it is very expensive and i can see how the investment is not for everyone, prior to that i used a conair blowdryer.... just make sure you do not overheat your hair. Its better to dry for a longer period of time on a lower setting.

Curly hair tends to be more fragile than straight hair, so it does require more care.

If you ever opt to spend the money, the products i truly swear by are Kerastase. I purchase them on e-bay as they are very hard to find in america and only sold in upscale salons for outrageous prices. I use the reflective series. Kerastase makes my hair very managable, managble enough where i can easily blow dry them straight .... it used to take 2 hours, now takes 40 min. (That is why i prefer salon brands and the T3 blowdryer)

When you go curly, make sure to finish your hair off with some sort of serum based spray ... it will settle your curls/remove frizz/ and make them look nice, i do not advocate the use of hair spray as i do not like the feel of it. The only serum type product i can think of is made by kerastase and its a light oil type of product.. but what works just as well, is rubbing a drop or two of Frizzease hair serum in your palms and running it through your hair.

Keep in mind that my advice is what i have learned with my own hair... definatley expriment... but cater the results to your hair type.

What shampoo and conditioner should I use to help semi-curly hair, but/and I've also had it dyed.?

I use Umberto Giannini Curl Friends shampoo, conditioner and mousse, all of which really help emphasise my curls. I also love the Aussie Miracle Moist range, although it smells a bit funny, it really helps the condition of my hair. I also found the Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners great, they smell lovely and are not too expensive. I am not sure if they sell them in the USA but if you can get your hands on any of the above products they are worth trying. I also found it better to wrap my hair in a towel for around my hair after washing and let it soak up the water, then when I take it off about 15 minutes later I let my hair air dry, and then add mousse and blow dry with a diffuser attachment.

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

can anyone tell me some natural ingredients or any natural ways to straighten natural curly hair that always curls back even if i put gel or wax? can't make anything do to straight it. I would like to know if there is a way to straighten it instead of ironing and if i use ceramics is safe?..thanks..

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

if ur looking for cheap and safe,

i'll recon olive oil. yes! olive oil. put it on, comb yr hair, flat!

and leave it for at least 15 mins. then take a good bath!

and do this at least 3x a week.

and in weeks you will notice the difference!

it worked for me!

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

try straightening shampoo

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

Olive oil

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

That was going to be my suggestion...the flat iron. I know that I have seen in the infomercials a flat iron that works with steam, and is ceramic in contruction....like you asked. It is "supposed to" make your hair str8 and keep it's str8ness untill you wash your hair again, but for the life of me, I CANNOT RECALL WHAT THE BRAND WAS. Im sorry....all u can do is look it up, or hit a salon and see what they suggest.

Im sorry I wasnt much help,

In y opinion....anything CERAMIC seems to me would be LESS damaging to your hair than a conventional metal iron.

Good luck with those curlies!!!

:) ^7^ (:

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

I would go to a professional. The professional would be able to get your hair straight. Dont try to straighten your hair yourself. Dont use chemicals if you can help it.

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

How to make your hair straight, and keep it straight.

1. Wash your hair.

2. When conditioner is in, make sure all knots are gone with a comb (don't comb to hard).

3. Leave conditioner in.

4. Put a plastic cap on.

5. Go under a hair dryer for 30 minutes.

6. Wash off conditioner.

7. Put some hair rollers all over hair.

8. Go under the hair dryer for 45 minutes or until hair is dry.

9. Take out rollers.

10. Blow dry hair until desired style.

How to keep it straight

1. Go to the store, and buy Olive Oil.

2. Flat iron your hair while is straight, 2 to 3 times a day.

3. Put some Olive Oil on your hair.

This technique always worked for me and my friends, is complicated, but your hair stays straight for more than a week.

Cheap ways to straighten natural curly hair?

I agree with the roller setting idea. it makes your hair fluffy and staright although it maybe time consuming and very irritating if you are not experienced. I try to do it myself and it is nerve wrecking for me. My friend has been doing it for year so she has the hang of it. I am not sure if you are interested but I go to Dominican shops and let me wash and put the rollers in my hair. They are very reasonable and a LOT less that normal salons. If you dont want to try that then I would say purchase a ceramic flat irons and curls. I used gold and hot one inch flat iron that goes up to tempertaure 30. If you have some cash to spend the best irons out there right now are the CHI irons. The majority of stylists I know use the CHI irons. Those run you anywhere from $90-150. They are worth the investment if you can afford them. Hope this helps.

Im a boy im growing my hair out but i want it to be very curly and wavy how can i make it that way?

You could always curl it with rollers after you have washed it if you don't mind looking like a girl whilst you wait for your hair to dry or using a curling iron / heated rollers when you hair is dry please note small rollers give tight curl and large sized rollers create waves.

A guy searching for the right hair product for wavy/curly hair?

I have been through so many gels which leave my hair coarse, rough and bushy- trying to brush it out is hell because it pulls and only looks worse, mousse isnt strong enough to hold, Ive been searching for the right product- and have come across American Crew Products, before purchasing and being let down I figured let me ask for those who have used this product or are in the similar predicament as I am, What works for you? (I have shoulder length hair - when wet it is perfect so I want a product that can mantain that ease) Any guys out there with long hair- found the perfect product? Let me know please.

Stay away from mouse's they contain to much alcohol and dry your hair out. Try more of the texure or defining cremes one good one is called slept in by short and sexy hair from your beauty professional salons. apply to damp hair or dry to control it and give a soft pliable look.

If I go to Supercuts what hair style can I ask for?????

Most salons will try to cut your hair in the style you want. The best thing is to take a picture with you of how you want your hair cut. Granted, it may not come out exactly like the picture but most hairstylists can come pretty close. And it does not cost extra if they put gel in your hair.

How can I get my hair up with my scene cut?

Hi,

Alright so recently (a few months ago) I got a more "scene" haircut. Don't make generalizations, I like the cut, it's just it would be considered that.

However, the dilema is this: how can I get it to be up more and show my layers more? I don't like spending a lot of time on things (ex: I do not blowdry my hair). I will use hairspray and gel however (I use got2be freeze spray and cement). Also, what should I make it styled like. Not just how to get it up, but what are some examples I could go around (obviously not copy) for hair this way?

Also, what would you recommend for make up to go with the do?

BTW: this is a picture of my hair currently:

http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h46/Cr...

And a more side view:

http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h46/Cr...

(by the way, the back is really short)

How can I get my hair up with my scene cut?

I have several suggestions. Spike only the back up, just throw it straight out. Put a bow in front. Gel it. Make it really messy. Do a faux- hawk. Put some barettes in it, either just putting them in or holding some hair up or back.

How can I get my hair up with my scene cut?

Hairstyles for damaged hair?

My hair is a little passed my shoulders. The top part is pretty straight %26amp; healthy but the bottom half is very dry %26amp; frizzy. I just got it trimmed %26amp; it looked healthier but I straightened it a few times %26amp; now it's back to looking damaged.

Are there ANY simple hairstyles I can use without having to apply heat? My hair doesn't curl well with gel either :(

Hairstyles for damaged hair?

i would get a hot oil treatment on your hair so that it doesnt look that way or braid it because it will hide some of the damage and wont need to be heated

Hairstyles for damaged hair?

a high ponytail can sometimes look cool with frizzy hair because you can see it when someone is looking straight at you. you can also put it in two braids or even braid it once it's in a ponytail. also, if you haven't tried already you can try switching shampoos, that might help. good luck!!

Hairstyles for damaged hair?

well first off...

I would get a better straightener..the cheap ones fry your hair and do nothing good for it and make it damaged.

Professionals are worth the money!!!

And keep on cutting your hair to get the dead hair off.

Invest in some heat protection cream ,gel, spray, ect.

But make sure its a professional/good quality because if its not it will ruin your hair eevn worse!!

Hairstyles;;

braids

messy bun

side ponytail

regular ponytail

You could get your hair layered or razored to give it more texture to make it look more alive!

PRODUCT TO TAME MY COARSE HAIR (help!)?

ok, here's the scenario:

i always straighten my hair because it is dry and very curly, which means it will become really frizzy really fast.

but now i want to leave it curly. i need suggestions for mousse and hairspray that can control my hair. i dont want to use gel. something that i can pick up at wal-mart and doesnt cost me a fortune. something safe enough for daily use and doesnt make my hair fall out even more than it already does...

any suggestions? PLLLEAASSE????

PRODUCT TO TAME MY COARSE HAIR (help!)?

I found this by accident, it leaves my hair really soft it's called

Herbal Essences, Citrus Lift it's the best mousse, it is called a "foaming gel" but it wont leave your hair chunky like other gels.

Also there is a brand called Umberto you can get it at Target not sure about wallmart but they have the best products try their "Controller" conditioning Spray it detangles really well and also softens.

Styling tips would be to NEVER EVER EVER brush your hair when it is curly , you should always comb your hair with a wide tooth comb and when it is wet, I suggest using spray bottle you can get for like a dollar.

I live down in Florida and this works for me, and it's very hot and humid all year round.

Just remember that it does take practice to work with curly hair I'm like you I just last year decided to go back to curly.

Hope this helps!!!

Products to straighten my hair?

Had the same problem.

You see, there are two kinds of such products: the acidic ones and the alkaline. As far as our skin has a little acid balance it's definitely better to use acid products. But if you have greasy hair, then it's better to try alkaine one. anyway, try KEUNE company product. That's for permanent hair straighten.

If you want your hair to be straighten from time to time and to protect your permanently straighten hair you need these companies products: L閳ユ┉real, Revlon Professional.

Here is a product that really straightens your hair well. Even if u use straighteners after it, your hair won't get that damaged. U can blow dry it. But it straightens enough, so I think u won't need much of these. It's a straightening balsam.

Is there such thing as curl gel which will curl your hairs?

only curl activator gel

Is there such thing as curl gel which will curl your hairs?

No but there are gels that control curl and style it

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

When I just get out of the shower my hair is wavy but as soon as I put gel in it it becomes straight...

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

Maybe you shouldn't put gel in it then?

My suggestion for wavy hair: When your hair is damp (not soaking wet), plait it tightly. Take it out once it's as dry as you can get it (it will still be a bit damp on the inside) and voila, waves! If you plait your hair when it's dry it'll go wavy too, but not quite as wavy as if it's damp when plaited.

For curls, though, I have no suggestions. If you get any good suggestions for curly hair without heat treatments, can you let me know? :)

EDIT: Ah, frizz, the bane of so many people's lives. Well. I use jojoba oil to stop the Dreaded Frizz and add moisture to my ends (I have quite long hair) but it can make it look greasy... I have heard of people using aloe vera gel though, maybe you could give that a try?

I don't know of any ways to curl/wave hair in less than ten minutes, I'm afraid.

Good luck!

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

dont put gel in

use hair curling moose

its really cheap and you can find it at any hair store

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

gel is horrible on hair

try a curling mouse

or a curling serum

i always tell ppl to never use gel it just makes it heavy and wet looking

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

use hair products and scrunch your hair when you put it in

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

Put some mousse in it and braid it while it's still wet and just let it dry. That should do the trick.

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

When you get out of the shower dry your hair, but not completely. Put heaps of hair mousse through your hair (doesn't really matter what one, cheapy ones are fine), scrunch it up with you hands for about a minute and then tie it up sort of loosely. The next morning let it out and you will have the wavy look you desire.

Avoid hair gel because it has alcohol in it which makes your hair frizzy, and as you apply it you're pressing your hair flat. That's why I recommend hair mousse, because it can be applied with limited pressure.

Hope this helps!!!

Does anybody know how to make hair curly or wavy without curling it?

Don't put gel.

Use a wave spray

(Frederic Fekkai has 3 great wave sprays: coiff oceanique tousled wave spray, summer hair beach waves, luscious curls wave creating spray)

or for a quick fix

let dry until damp use a curling mousse then braid damp.

An alternative to Artec Textureline Texture Gel?

I've used this gel for a couple of years but it's getting harder to find. I found out that it's been discontinued so I am going to have to choose a new gel. I like the hold I get with this gel, it's very smoothing and it doesn't leave my hair stiff and gross like some gels. I tried the control gel (same brand) and really don't like it!

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

I've tried scrunching my hair many times with mousse and gel right after

I get out of the shower, but my hair always ends up frizzy or poofy. The

curls I get from scrunching also end up limp, weak, and frizzy instead of the strong ringlets that I hope for. I don't have a diffuser. Help please?

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

I used to have the same problem, but if you don't mind buying a few products, I have a great solution...

First of all, you don't want to do this right after you get out of the shower but if you need to, it's ok (It makes a difference but not a big one). Wait maybe 10 minutes NO MORE! You do not want it even a little strand of hair dry or else it wil be crunchy and fried looking. But the reason why you wait is because if you have sopping wet hair, it will just dissolve the mousse (I use tresseme volumizing mousse- you can get it for $3 at any drugstore) and then your hair will dry as it naturally does, frizzy and flat. So when you get out of the shower dry your hair thoroughly, make sure you get the bottom layer to. The put as much mousse as necessary. I use an egg sized dollop for each side of my hair, but it depends on your hair and your mousse. Then comb your hair all the way through, unless you want tiny, stringy curls. After combing your hair take a bottom strand a scrunch it in your hand a few times, you may even want to spiral it, but that never works for me. Then, take a top strand and do the same-make sure you go all the way to your scalp on top strands. Do this all around your head and your done! You may want to lightly spray some hairspray on it. Just make sure you don't shake it and touch it or anything unless you're rescrunching which is perfectly fine. This always works for me i hope it does the same to you.

Love, Abbie

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

after you get out of the shower put a ton of gel in your hair then use a diffuser to dry your hair adding more gel as you need to. if you hair is wet when the gel goes in it doesnt harden and its limp.

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

i have the same problem.

put the mousse and/or gel in but after that get aussie sprunch hairspray it really is amazing and it works so well!! everyone i know that has tries it loves it so really go out and get it it is the best product ever

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

okay. first when you get out of the shower dry your hair a little with a towel, comb through it. then add gel for curly hair. scrunch it just with that, put it up in a bun. and wait until your hair is less soaked, and more damp- an hour? take the bun out, scrunch your hair again with mousse- hairspray. wala!

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

i have pretty thin hair and it used to be very hard for me to scrunch it. i would wait a few min after u get out of the shower, let it dry but just a LITTLE. then put enough mouse in it to get it to where u like it. then wait another 10-15 min and pit some more mouse on it and keep scrunching. if after a few hours it needs some more scrunching, get ur hands wet and scrunch again. the water on ur hands will re-activate the mouse. it should work for u.

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

after you get out of the shower, braid your hair, after adding a little mousse. When its about 80% dry, take the braids out and more gel and mousse and scrunch, or just keep the braids into until your hair is dry, that would get it more of a wavy look though. Good Luck

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

Well , try the dove brand mousse for strong hold, and the hair spray...once you get out of the shower damp the towel wif a lil warm water and den apply as much mousse u preffer mayb the circle of ur palm is enough. Lather ur hair up and bend over with all your hair infront of you. Take the damp towel and hold it in both hands and start scruching your hair using the damp towel and use the spray to spray ever so often when doing it. IT will take 10 mins and keep adding mousse if necessary. It will make a wavy look and the hair spray will kill the frizzyness. Also the DOVE brand works for me and my think hair. No worries and wish u g-luck %26lt;33 wif scrunching and leave ur hair to dry once done. ALSO DO NOT EVER USE GEL, U WILL LOSE HAIR SO QUICK!

Hair Scrunching Tips Please?

Hey there! I also have thick wavy hair and I know just what your going through. I recommend starting out with garnier fructis products. They seem to work very well on my hair, plus their cheaper than most hair products. Try using the frizz control system. After a little while, then try to scrunch your hair using garnier fructis curl and shine scrunch gel. Might even want to try using a curling iron to help lock in the moisture. Also to get back a little shine, try using redken glass 01 serum. It comes out like oil, and your hair will just drink it in!!! Good luck!!

Super thick hair?

my hair is veryyy thick and frizzy.....i try to put gel in it and other products to control it a little but it dosent work..my hair is curly and its in layers about half way down my back....i cant do much with my hair because of the frizz so i always have it up...is there any way to make my hair thinner or any cute cuts that i can do...if you have any pics that would help alott

Super thick hair?

Next time you get your hair cut ask them to 'thin' it. It's not really layering, it's a way of cutting so that you still have a nice style but it takes some of the weight out.

Super thick hair?

everyone wants thick hair shup

Super thick hair?

Thick hair would be good for you because it does not fall out. Thin hair, on the other hand has a very good chance of growing some 'bald' spots with that. So, I suggest don't do anything with your hair. =]

Super thick hair?

do layers....lots of layers..

i have thick hair..

and it helps alot

Super thick hair?

wash it every other day, not everyday

or don't wash it for a week, and check it out

Super thick hair?

I have a similar problem! when my hair is fizzy... I just have a shouer with cold water and get it under control, avoid though too hot water!

Super thick hair?

i dont have any pictures. but tell your stylist to razor cut it and thin it out with a razor scissors. keep it long like you have it. aussie hair mousse it after it dries. always let it air dry.

Super thick hair?

okay... well, you can get your hair thinned out. that's one option. another thing you can do is to get your hair chemically straightened, which should weigh down the bulk considerably. and then you can add layers, which give body to your hair without making it so big %26amp; in your face. or, if you're really desperate like me, do all 3! i'm telling you... it really helps!

Super thick hair?

i also have very thick curly frizzy hair! I've tried everything!Dont' ever get it thinned! some stylists think that's the answer..nope! it only makes it more poofy and frizzy as the little chopped hairs grow out. Anyway, I've heard microfiber towels work well. Don't touch your hair too much, just style and leave it! (i know it's hard to do!) I use mouse through all layers, then gel..a good liquid gel like FX melting gel. it spreads out easier than thick gels. THen I finish once i'm done touching and scrunching..with a curling hairspray. just at the ends where it gets dry and puffy. I once found a forum for curly hair online...curly girls, or curl friends or sometihng. a lot of good info..just try looking up "curly hairstyles" etc... good luck.

Super thick hair?

Well I would suggest geting a good hair straightener and getting a bob! Also I would ask the advice of a good hair stylist!! Hope this helps :)

Super thick hair?

You can ask a hair stylist to give you a thinning cut. They'll cut it a certain way that takes some of the volume out. Put your hair products in while you're still in the shower and comb/brush through. Wet your hair before each time you want to change the style and add more product. You can also blow it straight- putting tension on it with a heavy brush as you blow dry- and straighten it with a ceramic flat iron. Make sure you part it in flat thin sections for each stroke of the flat iron. It sounds like your hair might be textured and that's the most versatile. Trust me, I am Irish, French, African and Blackfoot Indian. My hair is cool as h*ll. I CAN wear an afro or curls, waves or have straight hair. It looks natural where I'm choosing to go kinky/frizzy or silky straight. If I can get my hair to look pretty much any way I want, anyone with textured hair can too. You just need to experiment more.

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

well im half asian but my sis got the hair genes in that category. I luv my poofy hair (which gets that way thnx 2 H20) but im lazy and i really dont want to do anything to it (and there's a slight possibility that i probably cant lol). I get it straigthened but that takes hours and i end up with a buttload of split ends. So How can I make this crap easier for me and my hair?

been thinkin bout usin stylin gel to do style it but dont kno if it will be strong enough .

PLEASE HELP!!! T_T

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

use a product such as herbal essences curl up. shower in the morning hten scrunch your hair with it. itll do wonders. also use a styling serum. rub it in your hands and work it through your hair, it will relax the hairs. thats wat i do i have poofy hair too and my air is soft and straight after i use that product :]

i use this one from sally beauty. any local salon will ahve it and bed head has a good one xD

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

use a ghd hair straightener or a cheaper option is the remington wet 2 straight but the ghd works realy quickly and gives u really straight hair. after straightening put some sunsilk straightening no frizz serum in and use the cold tool on the blowdryer to make your hair stay straight all day

hope that helps =]

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

Go for hair rebonding .. and you will have straight and nice hair tho. =)

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

GHDs work for me.

But they'r overrated tbh.. they cause split ends if you don't use them right

try out some wax.

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

CHI is the best.

How to get from poofy frizzy hair to straight hair like asian people?

well i use the chi but you say that when you get it straightened you get a lot of split ends.

one of my friends went to a hair salon and got them to put some sort of chemical to his hair so that it would stay like that. it lasted about 5 to 6 months. all he had to do is tie it back after he took a shower and in the morning he would just run the straightener at the tips to get the rubber band mark of. unfortunately i don't know the name of the product but maybe that can help you a lil. sorry

How do I train my hair to grow backwards?

I want my hair to slick back on the top, without using gel, cus it makes it hard. i also only want the top to slick back, the sides will be short, a fade basically.

How do I train my hair to grow backwards?

tie it? or simply go to the barber

How do I train my hair to grow backwards?

When your hair is still wet, comb it straight back and tie a silk scarf over it, fastening it quite firmly at the nape of your neck. Let your hair dry this way. You can blow dry through the scarf if you're in a big hurry.

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

I'm an African American, with normal african american male hair (nappy) I was wondering if there is anyway I could straighten my hair, so I could spike it, gel it, and so it can get "wet" when I take a shower or get in a pool. Before anyone goes rantling off about how I should be proud of my hair, trust me I am, i've had every hairstyle done to my hair possible for an AA male, cornrows, short, afro, braids, curled it, waves. But I want to try something really diffrent, something extreme. Also, how much could this cost, and if I wanted to straighten my hair like a white males hair, would it have to be a daily routine, or could I go to sleep with it, and wake up with it the next morning even if it got dry. So please no innapropriate answers. I appriciate all of your guys taking time out to help me.

Thank you

10 pts to the best answer, and the one that actually is detalive, answers all of my questions and actually works when I try it!

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

get a perm or hot comb

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

you can do anything you want, be your own person. If it looks good who cares.

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

no

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

there is special types of gel n stuff for that kind of hair thet makes it greasy and wet looking. you put it in after a shower i think

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

lol tryin to b a super sayain now huh?

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

Ask Doug Pinnick of King's X...

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

soak your hair in hot water, comb it repeat alot then do spikes and gel use alot of gel or itll go back to being nappy, also use conditioner to make your hair less stiff

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

Umm, I'm totally opposite but allow me to try to answer (I look like my avatar lol) because I tried everything on my hair. As far as I know you can achieve what you want if you go to a hair salon and have your hair straightened professionally. The process is chemically similar to perming (this is what people with straight hair do if they want it curly). Your hair will stay straigh until it starts to grow out.

What chemicals do to your hair is they change the structure of the protein that constitutes your hair. The hair that is above your scalp will be changed, the new hair that grows will be your own nappy hair again, but I'm sure you know that.

Your hair will be basically straight after the perm, so you won't need to uncurl it every day. But you will need to style it with gel in order to make it spikey. That will have to be done every day, or every time you take a shower or go to a pool. (It is a nice practice to rinse the gell off your hair before going to the public pool btw). Get the thickest gel that you can find. Thicker gel means stronger hold for thicker hair.

You will probably need to add extra shine to it in order to achieve wet or glassy look. There is a product called "Shine" by Loreal or similar by other brands. You spray it on top or gel to make it shinier if necessary. Good luck. Everything I said - take with a grain of salt because I don't have your hair type.

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

First you need a perm, LOL,not aa texturizer but a bonafide perm.

Then you want to use Hawaiian Silky Dry Oil Moisturizer, comb it to the front but dont over saturate or it will run down your face. You can always spry more as it starts to dry. Your hair will be extremely soft from this. Next you want to use a strong holding gel (Let Jam super should do the trick) %26amp; spike it to your specifications. You can get your hair wet like this-Just make sure that you have a small bottle of Hawaiian Silky Dry Oil Moisturizer and let your hair air dry. the Hawaiian silky Dry Oil will keep your hair from breaking off by sealing in moisture. Cover your head at night to determine if you need to redo in the am. If you redo make sure that you have a an airvent brush with soft but firm bristles. you dont want to pull your hair out by trying to brush the hair with anything but a soft brush.

Hope this helps you:-)

RE: I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

I've never seen an African-American male with spiky hair. That's a really cool idea. You can try something called Japanese hair straightening or permanent straightening. The price varies according to the location and the price level of the salon, as well as the length and density of the hair. Very generally, prices can range anywhere from $150 to $1000 depending on the salon and the particular solutions being used. Because the time needed varies from client to client, some salons charge by the hour. If you do get this done, your hair may stay straight for up to six months. You can also buy a hair straightener/flat iron, which can range anywhere from $20 to $100 or more. However, straightening your hair with a hair straightener/flat iron will only keep your hair straight until you get it wet.

Make my hair stand up?

How do I make my hair naturally stand up then laying flat down? I have these problems every haircut I have, to buzz to side cuts and its always flat. Anyway naturally with shampoo it make my hair frizzy and stick out without gel?

How can I make my hair spikey?

What should I use to make my hair really spikey, and stay that way? I have gel, but how much should I apply, and how should I apply i??? Thanks!

How can I make my hair spikey?

there's a product called hair glue that works awesome, really sticky but works like a pro i'm means i'm a black dude and i had blonde tips with black roots spiked out to almost 2 inches so the stuff works!

How can I make my hair spikey?

first comb your hair without gel and maybe a tiny bit of water then get a blob of gel on your hands and rub it on your hair starting from your forehead and go back and the rest you will figure out. If you want it really spikey use a bigger blob of gell.

How can I make my hair spikey?

Take parts of ur hair, kinda flip it up a little and style it with gel [not lots of gel because it will be greasy and show a lot]. Blow dry afterwards.

How can I make my hair spikey?

its called gel

How can I make my hair spikey?

Depending on the gel - and the kind of 'hair' you have, apply and either allow to air dry - or blow dry. It won't 'stay' that way...you will have to reapply the gel and allow it to harden. Get yourself some pics (check the video and rock band magazines) to see the styles that you might like. Good luck.....

How can I make my hair spikey?

um well just use some gel about a handful of it and just run it through your hair until it looks good!

How can I make my hair spikey?

Well, Blue Hair Gel??

Even though it has that irratating white stuff after it dries that falls all over and looks like you have lice. LMAO

Why do you want Spiky Hair At All?

You can only tolerate it so much.

I agree with that guy.

You are a n00b. =]

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

Ok I've noticed a lot of q's on how to get sexy healthy hair. This is what works

1. I take pre-natal vitamins. Hey it works. Just cause it says their for pregnant women, it doesn't mean you can't also take. And to be fair I started taking them when I was pregnant

2. Hair treatments. I make my own. It's mixture of sweet alomond oil, avocado oil, olive oil and coconut oil. Put on a shower cap and blast with the hairdryer then leave on for a couple of hours. Shampoo out

3. I don't know why but this works. Drink tea. When I run out of tea my hair looks bad then I drink it again and it works

4. Trim your hair. When I'm bored I just sit there with the scissors cuting off my split ends. Use good quality scissors and don't tear your hair

5. Limit use of hot electircal items and hairspray %26amp; gel. I never use them

6. Don't be a vegeterian. My sister is one and she is almost bald. This could also do with the fact that she bleaches her hair. Don't do that either. Only lighten two shades. Gl

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

nice tips

:)

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

try haiving someone Sperm in your hair...Its rich in protein...

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

cool! thanks but the tea one makes me confussed....

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

This isn't a question! Also I've been a vegetarian for something like 8+ years and I've been bleaching my hair for at least 4 years. I have no problems with my hair and I'm not going bald. If your sister is going bald, she is either not getting the proper nutrients and vitamins or she is doing something wrong in the bleaching process. Bleaching is very harsh on your hair so maybe she needs to go to a salon or something or maybe her hair is naturally very dark and this is too strenuous on her hair. Either way, it has nothing to do with being vegetarian!!

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

most of these are mediocre, but what's with the last one?! I have been a proud vegan for years, and it improved my hair and skin immensly. its a very good way to get rid of acne, and other skin-related problems.

My tricks to hot, healthy hair.?

i do blow dry my hair and straighten my hair but just not all the time. i dont put any hair products in it cause they just weigh your hair down and make your hair look dull. i deep condition my hair everyday and leave it in for 1/2 hour to an hour, rinse out and then spray a leave-in conditioner before i blow dry and it comes out super shiny and silky. ive also used prenatal vitamins and they help but you have to wait a while to see any results with them. but i personally think the key to good looking hair is using a good conditioner.

Crummy hair!?

Okay my hair is like being a toltal butt...I need a quick and very easy way to get like really awsome curls (without an iron) and that will stay in without using any hair products that isn't hairspray gel or leave in conditioner....can you help, is this even possible or am i asking for too much?

Crummy hair!?

I think Ballerina said it the best!! You may beable to do a rag doll perm. You clip pieces of rag. Dampen your hair and dont get it too wet. Then you twist pieces of your hair and then twist those twists around the rag and tie it. Leave it in over night. In the morning you will have curls. Its not that quick though.

Crummy hair!?

impossible

Crummy hair!?

Have you considered a clip on extension? When you take your hair into a high pony tail, try Revlon's Spikey style (google it) and it will look sexy and sophisticated. AND curly to any degree depending on the one that you buy. I love them when I'm lazy.

Crummy hair!?

You could twist your hair up with strips cut from a paper bag ...

Does aloe vera gel really help heal split ends?

okay so i read in an article that putting aloe vera gel (the stuff that you rub on sunburns) in your hair can help give you healthier hair! is it true?

Does aloe vera gel really help heal split ends?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Your welcome!!!! Report It

Does aloe vera gel really help heal split ends?

sorry no. just makes it sticky.

Does aloe vera gel really help heal split ends?

This may heal a sunburn but it doesn't not correct split ends. The best think for split ends is to have them either trimmed or use a reconstructor. There is a product at Wal-Mart now that you can buy that use to be sold only in salons. It is by Nexus, and you use the size of a dime and leave it in the hair and it works wonders. It is called Humectruss. Try this and see if it doesn't work great. Hope this helps, Thanks.

The only way to "heal" split ends is to get a trim.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

This started not very long ago- at first I thought it was from new shampoo-conditioner I was using, but even after I stopped use, it continues.

My hair is slightly sticky/greasy-looking, on the top of my scalp after I wash my hair. It really acts as if I had put gel in it there.

I thought maybe it was from the new shampoo-conditioner so after I stopped use my mom tried washing that area of my head with vinegar- which helped for a while and I thought it was gone, but it is back (and i have not used that shampoo or conditioner).

It is the strangest thing and I have no idea where it is coming from. Does anyone have any ideas of what is happening or how to fix it? My family and I are all baffled.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

After you wash your hair, pour a cup of half and half mixture of vinegar and water as a rinse. This will eliminate the sticky/ greasy feeling and you hair will be very shiny to boot. You might try washing you hair with "Dawn" and cold water. Most times this helps too.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

I use baby shampoo when I get the sticky hair and it takes care of it pretty quickly! I think it is build up as well. It grosses me out because I am a very clean person. Report It

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

Try Biolage shampoo for normal to oily hair. Its the only thing that works for me.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

See a doctor, It could be serious, (scalp infection, ringworm, etc)

Not trying to scare you but you really should see a doctor about that.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

maybe ur putting a lot of conditor in ur hair and not enof shampoo

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

My hair has been like that when i have build up. Just take your favorite shampoo and put some in your hand. Then add baking soda to it and rub your hands together then wash your hair. You may have to repeat this again. Then I would follow that with straight shampoo to get all of the baking soda out. After that use your conditioner as normal.

This should help!!!

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

Try some other shampoo till the problem gos away, also watch your diet.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

maybe try some denorex-yes, I know it's for dandruff, but don't use conditioner after using it and it should get the oiliness out.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

Hi not to be mean or nothing but do you have dandruff as i had a similar problem and tried using anti dandruff shampoo and condtioner as mine problem was from slight dandruff and now my hair is full and soft.. i use dove

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

Maybe you need to get a clarifying shampoo that really will strip your hair of all the build-up from the atmosphere and from products that you use in your hair. If you get one that solely says clarifying, probably only use it about twice a week. I'd also make sure to use a good conditioner though mainly on your ends to keep them from drying out too bad.

That's the only "normal" kind of remedy I can suggest. If it continues I would definitely see a doctor/dermatologist about it. Don't know what it could be because I've never heard of a clinical term for something like that, but I'm sure there's something!

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

Try using a de-toxifying product. Alternatively, cut your shampoo with water. Start with 1 part water to 3 parts shampoo, and then change it to 1 part water to 2 parts shampoo. Do 1 part water to 2 parts conditioner, or 1 part water to 1 part conditioner.

Maybe a dermotologist would be a good person to see. S/he could tell you if it was a skin problem or reaction triggered by the shampoo. I might even see if other people have had the same problems with the same shampoo.

Strange hair problem- "sticky"/"greasy" hair after wash?

What are you using now? I'm assuming that you still use a shampoo%26amp;conditioner in one. Stop. Use a shampoo, rinse, REPEAT, make sure it's rinsed all the way out. Get a leave in conditioner. After you get out of the shower, towel dry, put a SMALL amount of conditioner on the ENDS of your hair. Wash your hair EVERYDAY. When I was in high school, my hair would get oily fast so I had to wash everyday. Now my hair isn't that way anymore. It's hormones, it will change a few more times in your life. So don't worry. Hope this helps.

Hair spray and curling irons??

well, I always read that one is supposed to use hair spray before curling their hair....but isn't hair spray flamable?? How does your hair not bust into flames? same thing with mousse and gel. I don't wanna die to be pretty. how does this work??

Hair spray and curling irons??

irons get hot thats all! lol your not going to die, if theres a spark then......

Hair spray and curling irons??

YOUR HAIR WILL NOT EXPLODE.

i promise.

using hairspray will hold the style but depending on what kind you use, it might make your hair stiff.

if you want loose big curls, lighten up on the spray.

tight ringlets=lotttttts of spray.

Hair spray and curling irons??

your hair wont get set on fire lol

Hair spray and curling irons??

hair spray is flammable, its dangerous to have it sprayed when near an open flame.. I don't think the heat from the curling iron can make a fire. From what I know it's more gentle to curl your hair and then put hairspray in it.

make sure you follow directions. the wound up needs to be warmed up in rubbing hands (you'll be able to see the fibers when hands are pulled apart. that's what will keep your hair up in the air) . the spiker hairspray will keep it straight up in the air thru a hurricaine.

it can all be shampooed out except for the relaxer.

OH! make sure to not exercise or brush your hair before the relaxer or your head will BURN.

get your sister or your aunt to do your relaxer. chances are they already have a tub of it handy. (super cheap to free - i like that price)

the cost of the products will run you around $10 - $20 each. you'll need to get something to spike it and some hairspray.

for something super cool bleach the ends of your hair and color them.

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

Yeh I have seen tons of blacks with spikey hair

GO FOR IT!

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

that is so gay

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

That's awsome. There is a local rapper in my city named Tech9 that has bright red spiky hair usually and it's kick ***.

Don't know exactly how to help you though...sorry.

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

i know its possible .dont know how nuch itll cost

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

You can go and have it professionally straightened, and when you spike it use hair wax. It makes it lard as a rock and it doesn't move!

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

Hi I think the best thing you could do is go to a salon and ask that question because you don't want to experiment on your hair like that try what we say no one on here is going to know how to answer this only a expert

I'm Black and want to spike my hair..?

Have you tried using a hot comb, making it straight, then using Biosilk, or Silk Shine to add some flexible hold? Biosilk is great for hair and skin. Silk Shine may add more of the hold because biosilk stays flexible.

It would definantly be close to a daily routine, as is any hairstyle.

Wet wrecks anyone's hairstyle, I don't care who ya are. But with the biosilk stuff, it just might be possible to maintain it a little easier.

Long curly hair?

For girls who have long curly hair:

What shampoo/conditioner do you use?

How do you style it?

Do you use gel, mousse, hairspray, etc.? If so, what kind of product do you use?

I have long curly hair but it is a loose curl. I use Herbal Essence shampoo for curly hair and I like it, but this humidity during the summer months makes my hair kind of frizzy and puffy, even after using a lot of gel. Any suggestions or tips on how you keep your hair healthy-looking?

Long curly hair?

I have the same hair type. I use granier fructis for dry frizzy hair. I also use a deep conditioner made by dumb blonde (not just for blondes) once a week. I use gel only, no mousse, no spray gel, just regular gel. Mousse seems to have to much alcohol in it and it really dries out my hair. Blow dry hair with a diffuser. Finish with a sculptor/wax (bed head is good) to put any stray hairs in place.

Long curly hair?

idk but my best friend has long curly hair and she used Pantene but she use the kind for curly hair. and i dont what kind of gel or moose she uses tho sorry.

Long curly hair?

i use garnier-fructise conditioner and the leave in conditioner...i have very long thick black hair and it helps me with the frizziness.

Long curly hair?

I use SunSilk de frizz, in the green bottles, the shampoo, conditioner, and the 24/7 leave in, works wonderful, leave hair, shining, silky and best of all, not frizzy. Someitmes I use a mouse by Herbal Essence for curly hair, but usually just the Sunsilk. I have long loose curls, about mid back.

If it's real hot, I wear a high pony and let the curls fall, otherwise, it's usually down.

Long curly hair?

Theres a wild variety to choose from like vo5 or pantene or hebal essence or somethin from bath and body works. There shampoo and conditioners works REALLY well. And also sunsilk products work very well.

Long curly hair?

i have very curly hair, and i feel your pain, specially during the summer, curls can be a pain. i use john friedas frizz-ease. i use the shampoo conditioner and serum. the eniter frizz-ease line is made for hair lik ours. it works great for me. hope this helps tame those curls. good luck!

Long curly hair?

i use suave just for the heck of it.. it doesn't do any thing but i use Aussie hair gel, but there is also spray, moose, and shampoo also! it smells good too.. it is in a purple bottle. and it has a kangaroo on it.

Long curly hair?

try putting mouse or gel in ur wet hair and then tying it up in a bun overnight, thn the next morning ur hair shld b curly and stay tht way for the rest of the day without frizzing.

Long curly hair?

I have the same kind of hair that you have...I use garnier fructis curl spray but i use my hands instead of the spray. After I apply the spray gel I shake my hair out then use hairspray of the same brand. This works for me!

How can I get waves? I got thick thick sort of straight hair.?

Hey. I have thick thick straight hair. I got a perm aorund 3 yrs ago and now sometimes when i wash my hair it goes a bit wavy but then wen i brush through it, it becomes straight. I want controlled waves like Kate Beckinsale. But remember I have REALLY thick hair!!! I have a curling Iron and I can buy special gel. I dont want a perm or mousse. What gel can you suggest or method to make my hair wavy (not messy). Go Curly gel?? Or is that for naturally curly hair? help!

How can I get waves? I got thick thick sort of straight hair.?

go curly gel is good. but what i would do is make large ringlets all over your head then hairspray them, then using your fingers, separate them. add go curly and mess them up ( doesnt make them look messy) simple, easy and looks hot!

How can I get waves? I got thick thick sort of straight hair.?

I would love curly hair too! but a good solution is a deep wave curling iron... good luck!

How can I get waves? I got thick thick sort of straight hair.?

for the kate do you would ultimately have to get it perminently straightened and see ..when you wash it you brush it while wet and leave it be when its dry ..90% of thick or curly haired people get straight poofy hair by brushing it while dry..or blow drying it.

How to get thick dense hair growth on my head?

i am male %26amp; my hair are very loose they never stay at their place and my hair style gets destroyed.i dont want to use gel.plz tell me a home made sollution to get thick dense hair

HELP!

How to get thick dense hair growth on my head?

If you don't wanna use gel, then use oil moisturizer. That will help keep all the hairs in place and make it very shiny and healthy. You can get some at your local grocery store.

How to get thick dense hair growth on my head?

Make one of your parents an African American. Joking!! You have no control over how coarse your hair is. It's genetics. It's like me trying to wear my hair straight down. Although perms and a straight comb is an option for me. Maybe there's some chemical out there for you, but I haven't heard of it. Sorry but some hairstyles you just can't get.

How to get thick dense hair growth on my head?

Use a conditioner call nexus thickening conditioner/....after washing and leaving the conditioner in it will look and feel thicker...hope this helps.

How to get thick dense hair growth on my head?

Take vitamins for hair maybe. Or ask the drug stores.

i have the same thing done

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

i used gel and i kept my hair in a bun but its still fluffy. what can i do?

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

I have curly, frizzy hair and it helps to use spray gel on it when wet and comb it through with a wide-toothed comb. I let ming dry naturally and that tames some of the frizz. You can try a product that is especially designed to reduce the frizzies like Frizz-Eze that works for some, unfortunately I'm not one of them! A shine serum will work on dry hair to reduce the poofyness and calm some of the frizzies. Also, try a small amount of wax product. That works best for me. Also a straightening iron is a good option.

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

straighten it and the frizz will go away

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

i have the same problem!!

=]

good luck!!!

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

John Friedas frizz ease.

http://www.johnfrieda.com/salon_experien...

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

You can get an anti frizz serum from your local shop or hairdresser you put 2 pumps in your hand rub your hands together and smooth the serum through your hair

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

Try straightening it! if that doesn't work try to take another shower but, just wet your hair down don't shampoo or condition! If u have any use an anti frizz product!

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

If you have conditioner, put a bit in hands and rub thru-out hair, if you don't have conditioner try a moisturizer. I would also suggest investing in a hair straightener-they work wonders.

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

brush it, and leave it in a brade

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

i blow dry my hair with a brush after taking a shower then straighten it...(it takes a while)

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

umm wat kinda shampoo do you use? you should use garnier fructis then put moisturizing cream in it when its still damp......but its already dry hmm just re-wet it and out lotion in it-lotion is actually good for your hair- use lotion cuz your hair needs moisture!!! its frizzy cuz its dry girl!!!!!!

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

ok my two of my frineds have curly frizzy hair they use sunslick

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

you get anti - frizz spray and it should help your hair pantien pro- v

I just took a shower and now my hair is really poofy and fluffy and frizzy? What should i do?

the "frizz" is from dead ends, and you need a moisturizer, tomorrow if you have time, go get those dead ends trimmed off, it's also dry too, so the moisturizer will help, good luck

Hair stripping?

Does washing your hair with soap (fairy liquid, shower gel etc) really help get rid of dye in your hair? :/

It worked for my friend but just want to know if anyone has tried it out?

Hair stripping?

i have never done this,

but i don't think it would work.

i know my friend tried it but it didn't work well..

i guess it depends on your colour,

Hair stripping?

i dont think it would work, i went to florida and forgot my shampoo and had to use soap and it didnt do anything to my hair except make it clean, lol

Hair stripping?

if iter permanent dye - no, to get rid of permanent dye usually requires bleaching it out - this is called colour correction

however if its like a semi or temp dye, then try using a deep cleansing shampoo (.i.e. Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3) - these are designed to really clean the hair of any product build up, chlorine etc so they will help fade the dye.

What is the BEST holding gel for braids at night?

i try to put braids in my hair at night but mousse makes my hair all frizzy in the morning? what is the best gel so when i take my braids out its not crusty or frizzy?

What is the BEST holding gel for braids at night?

Always go w/ TIGI manipulator.... for everything. Use on wet hair, dry hair, straight hair, curly, to texturise, to make hair stay (:

BTW: dont go crazy w/ it or any other product for that matter. Too much gets yucky

What is the BEST holding gel for braids at night?

It's not a good Idea to sleep with braids because it damages your hair by causing breakage, however, if you must, The best product to use on braids is Jam, not the Jam you put on your toast, it a type of gel that holds your hair and doesn't cause hair to be frizzy, the only place that sale Jam is at a beauty supple store or any hair care stores.

How can I tame my hair?

I have tried regular hair cuts, expenxive shampoo, and taming gels...EVERYTHING. Nothing is working...someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can I tame my hair?

My best friend has unruly hair!!! Has tried everything.. and finally she went to this gay hair stylist.. wasnt too much more expensive then what she was used to.. and cut her hair like no one has ever cut it before and she LOVES it! He showed her how to keep it from frizzy..(she has natural curly hair).. and it would always grow in a point down her back.. he fixed that too! Good Luck :)

How can I tame my hair?

what do you mean to TAME it? is it frizzy? you have alot of fly aways? is it not doing what you want? You were not very specific so here my advice- go to a GOOD hair stylist and dont you dare let them cut your hair with a razor- if you have fly aways or curls or frizz issues it will only make it worse!

How can I tame my hair?

use hair relaxer

How can I tame my hair?

put it on a leash

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

I'm using a straightener this morning, I use it all the time but have a problem keeping it straight throughout the day cuz my hair is not naturally straight! Sometimes I use hairspray, gel, straightening gel and a heat protectant spray. Any tips??? I need it to stay straight today!

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

you can get straightening gel and it'll keep your hair straight after straightening it.

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

You are using too m,any products stick to one antifrizz product (i.e garnier smoothing milk) or an antifrizz/heat protectant. and make sure to use a dime sized amount. you are using the right products but incorrectly.

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

well why dnot you put on a wig

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

I just use a little mousse in the morning after I straighten my hair. But anti-frizz serum will probably work better.

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

I have the same problem and I take a little bit of shampoo just a tiny bit and smooth it through my hair it really work a little conditioner works too and use a big paddle brush and pull it straight. Works every time. don't do it too often or it will get greasy.

Whats the best way to keep my hair straight throughout the day? Answers ASAP!?

Use a anti-frizz or straighten gel/cream while your hair is still wet.Blow dry and straighten as normal, then use Pomade, just distribute it on your palms and run your hands through your hair. You can keep some pomade on you to apply more through out the day it helps keep the style without flattening it and keeps it straight.

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

no, this ISN'T one of those 'do I look ugly?' questions!

My daily ritual is pretty simple, usually i just put on a little cover up and some eyeshadow ( feel uncomfortable with too much makeup)

As far as hair goes, I usually just shower, gel, and go (one of the pros of having short hair!!)

This works out most of the time, but lately I've been getting bored of it, and have been craving a change.

I want to do something different, but still cute as far as make up is concerned.

What would you recommend doing? kinds of make up? Different hair color ?

Any certain products or styles that would work well?

(The only thing I won't do is grow out my hair. I'm only 5'4'', fairly petite, and have extremely thick, frizzy hair, so whenever it's long, it kind of overwhelms both me and my face)

Oh yeah, here are some pictures of me (with out makeup, hair unstyled)

http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff73/...

anything that u think would look good/not?

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

you have gorgeous blue eyes and a light blonde would compliment that amazingly. omg your gorgeous

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

i think you should go jet black. make up -cant really help you with that cause i dont wear any.

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

Since you have a short cut, go for very feminine makeup. Liquid liner, eyeshadow would look good on you.

Aw, you'd look so gorgeous with long hair.

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

You'd look so prettier with long hair. Grow it out!!! As for the make up keep it light and simple.

What to do?! Hair...makeup?

oh you are so gorgeous you can go with black eye shadow.put it on like the girl in KINGDOM OF HEAVEN and you can see the picture of the singer of garbage, they all will make you super hottt!!!!!

I am mixed with very puffy curly hair how do I get it cut so my curls are more defined?

My hair can also get very dry. Would a pommade or a gel work best for my hair to keep it down and with one?

I am mixed with very puffy curly hair how do I get it cut so my curls are more defined?

I don t think a hair cut would define your curl pattern, try Miss Jessie's Curl Pudding.

I am mixed with very puffy curly hair how do I get it cut so my curls are more defined?

The only thing i would do to your hair as a stylist is give you some layers and thin your hair out a bit so its not as puffy. You can use pommades but they tend to make your type of hair really heavy and greesy. And sometimes the product build up is not good for your hair. The products i would use are Bumble and Bumble styling lotion and Pureology Style and Twist use this last to define your curls.!! hope that helps..

I am mixed with very puffy curly hair how do I get it cut so my curls are more defined?

Paul Mitchell Foaming Pommade

Hair shampoo problem?

i am using pantene relaxed and natural. its okay. but i have noticed my hair.....has like no volume whatsoever. i have like a mixed race hair and its rlly difficult to find like a shampoo. its rlly wavy and curly when wet. but dry its out of control! when straightened i love it. but when its like normall...its just flat and the waves look like they have no life.

what shampoo should i use for my type of hair??? please help?!

and dont recommend gel please.

Hair shampoo problem?

Pantene leave in conditioner is really good, its a large bottle too which is great and really moisturising I get mine from the reject shop for $ 4 its the best conditioner i have used. I use curl defining mousse as i have curly hair too, anything without alcohol is good if you can't get that taft mousse with silk in it is awesome. Pantene anti dandruff shampoo works really well too.

Hair shampoo problem?

I use Silk Elements and Garnier Fructis for my shampoos. You need to condition you hair or even do a pre-conditioning treatment before shampooing. I like to combine olive oil and honey put on dry hair. Put shower cap over it and leave it in for 3 hours +. Afterwards shampoo and condition.

I personally have tried Pantene Relaxed and Natural but it just didn't work. Also the ingredients in the products are bad for our hair because they clog pores preventing moisture from entering which would explain why your hair is dry.
