So I'm not sure how long your hair is, but I'll give you a little recipe of products I use on my hair....Shower, put hair in towel for a minute or two to absorb excess moisture (too long, and you'll get frizz) your hair has to be moist enough to kinda come together for the curls, or else you'll get stringy curls, which also gives you frizz...My hair is about chest length....First I brush my hair back, flip my head forwards and back to get the natural separation. Use a handful of mouse (herbal essence for curly hair ~$3) shared in each hand, spread from the hairline to the end. Then turn all your hair to the right side with your head turned, use handful of mouse roots to bottom, repeat on your left side....Turn head slowly, because hard flipping, pulls the your curls with gravity...Scrunch and shape, during this step and and while your finishing...Slowly turn your head upside down, and repeat mouse and scrunching...I even scrunch and hold, to help form...After mouse, you might add a little quarter size amount of redken #8 (contour ~$12...it lasts a while) lightly over your hair...Scrunch and distribute... Before you flip your head back....group as much of your hair in your hands and scrunch against your head while bringing your head up, hold and slowly release...Now scrunch and distribute your hair....turning your head to the sides, upright, and upside down....also this is how you hairspray your hair (Rave #4 ~$2), and after hairspraying scrunch and let sit, and when you'll put your makeup on, scrunch, the key is scrunching periodically and respraying as needed....I even will hang my head upside down over a vent in my house, and scrunch for the air-dry affect...That's key air-dry, and scrunch your hair when you get out of your car going into your destination...and remember as the top is drying, claw your hands and try to break up the roots, like your scratching your head....It may seem like a lot, but it's really fairly simple, It's turned into a routine and habit, and I only use those products on my hair when it counts....Sometimes it can be crispy at first, but hours later your curls will loosen, and have shape, not frizz....If I didn't fix my hair this way, when my curls loosened, it be frizz all night......adjust products per your hair, just follow how your hair feels and the cues....Hope this has helped...Take Care....

I got mine layered a first time, and it got soooo curly. then i razored it and it was still pretty good, then I got my layers short and it looks really really really good curly. The only reason I have it straight all the time is because I have to run around school and the curls always get in my face = p
