I really want this hair style. i tried putting gel %26amp; hairspray in it after washing and kind of scrunching it up but when it dries its all poofy wavy and frizzy.. any ideas??

Me too! I have a spiral perm and I use gel, but after time passes (during the day) it becomes frizzy and loses the slicky look. Report It

start with the scrunching. then move on to a small barrel curling iron. use hair spray while you're curling to hold the curls better. you might have to curl everything twice to get it that defined. adn then for shine, try citre-shine's hair shine spray. it's about $4 or $5 a bottle. that should do the trick.

If hair is naturally curly, use styling creme and let air dry, u can apply more after it is dry to get even more of a controlled look, start with a small amount about a quarter size, rub into hands warming it up to activate the product then apply. The one I like the most is Slept In by Sexy Hair. If hair is not naturally curly then u will need to get a perm and follow same procedure as above. Also last but not least, start with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Looks like she has a curl activating perm in her hair. If you don't want to go thru that process, you're going to have to sit there with a small barrel curling iron and some hairspray..

Do you already have curly hair? If not, you will have to get a perm first, or spiral curlers. I would use a light spray gel made for curly hair, and do not put hairspray on until it is dry.

Make an appt. for a consultation at a salon, and take the picture with you. It is usually free(ask first) and they will tell you how doable it is.

Quite easy. You have to buy gel. Apply it through out hair while scrunching it and twirling your hair around your fingers. Let it dry and comb it out and BAM! you've got it!

I can think of 2 ways.

First is the obvious of a spiral perm. Second, you can actually purchase a spiral curling iron, they come in different size barrels, so you can achieve different tightness to the curls. I bought mine at Wal-Mart. I find the curls last longer if I put a little moose in my hair before heating, or I used Aussie Sprunch Spray to help hold.

what you do is use a blow dryer, use mouse, and/ or garnier curl up styles. keep the blow dryer on low and keep scrunching your hair while drying. Make sure you put ALOT of mouse, hair spray will help, but mouse helps the frizz.

Unless you want to really mess up your hair..i really dont suggest a perm.
