How can i get my hair to shine???

i want to get my hair to be wavy tomorrow, but how can i get it to shine without using hairspray or gel. i want soft wavy hair, but the only way for my hair to shine is mostly wen i straighten it...so how do i get it to wavy, but shine too without using gel or hairspray to make it hard?
