first comb your hair without gel and maybe a tiny bit of water then get a blob of gel on your hands and rub it on your hair starting from your forehead and go back and the rest you will figure out. If you want it really spikey use a bigger blob of gell.

Depending on the gel - and the kind of 'hair' you have, apply and either allow to air dry - or blow dry. It won't 'stay' that way...you will have to reapply the gel and allow it to harden.
