How can I get my hair to grow longer?

I'm a guy and I have medium-short messy nappy hair. My hair is fairly unruly and even if I comb it (without gel) it won't stay as I want it to.

I would like to test out long hair, but I've already had my hair grow out for over a couple of months and it's still not growing well. It's just messy.

Are there any good inexpensive products that will help my hair to grow fuller and longer (not necessarily thicker but that would be fine, though I think my hair is fairly thick)?

Thanks.

Coconut oil is the best homemade stuff. Or you could buy a bottle at a family-owned store for like $2.

Well all you have to do is cut the ends alittle bit and it will make it grow longer

It takes weeks to grow hair...I don't think there's a natural way to speed up the process.

Please go to a hair salon (unisex salon). Have them "thin-out" your hair and to trim it. Believe it or not, if you trim your hair every couple of weeks to get rid of the dead ends, this help stimulate growth.
